12.01.2022 Grazing Platters are thePERFECT picnic food and a great healthy way to enjoy #halloweenfood or #melbournecup Quick to prepare and can be thrown together last minute for impromptu get togethers ---------------------------------------------------------- 1. Start with the Platter, Tray or Board - the size of this will dictate how much food to prepare. Including small bowls in odd numbers as these look great visually ... 2. Prepare Fresh Produce - cut up seasonal fruit and veggies before you make the platter to ensure maximum freshness 3. Placement - start with the larger foods first and then arrange smaller foods around this, ensure a variety of different sizes, colours and textures to make the food pop (and fill any gaps) 4. Sweet or Savoury - it is entirely up to you whether it is one or the other or a combination The best part is this is so easy that anyone can do this, even kids and there are endless ways to experiment! Happy Halloween

01.01.2022 Are you in search of a healthy after school or weekend snack? Don't forget to save this recipe for later on Have you noticed how frozen bananas taste SO MUCH better, creamier and sweeter. There's good reason! "When a frozen banana is thawed, the amylase and starches in the cells diffuse through the defrosting fruit. This leads to further conversion of some starches to sugar, which contributes to the sweeter taste of frozen bananas" This recipe can be customised ...to your favourite yoghurt, flavour and toppers. We love a recipe with few ingredients too! YOGHURT BANANA POPS --------------------------- What you need: ---------------- 1. 4 x Bananas 2. 8 x Ice Cream Sticks 3. 1 Cup x Yoghurt 4. Toppers (clusters, choc chips, sprinkles, coconut, nut butter) Tip: add some finely mashed berries for colour and extra flavour How to prepare: ---------------- 1. Line a board with baking paper before you start 2. Peel each banana and slice in half, insert stick carefully so not to split the banana 3. In a bowl combine yoghurt (of choice) 4. Dip the banana into the yogurt mixture and ensure well coated; repeat for all bananas 5. Once all bananas have been yoghurt dipped sprinkle and gently press toppers if desired 6. Place in freezer until frozen 7. When ready to eat, let them thaw for a few minutes before taking a bite! Happy Snacking See more
