20.01.2022 Aerating in the beautiful Lost World.

20.01.2022 At Zero Till Planting we are fortunate to still be able to offer our services. These are direct drilling of seed and aerating of paddocks, mulching of paddocks with flail mower, fertilising of paddocks with both dry and liquid ( foliar ) fertiliser. Our modern equipment allows us to specialise in small difficult paddocks and hilly terrain. To see how we can create value for your property give Michael a call on 0458 220 321.

18.01.2022 Feed oats pasture cropped zero tilled into summer grass in May after about 50ml of rain.

17.01.2022 Got to plant a seed mix of Oats, Barely, Prairie grass, Lucerne and Clover on this beautiful Kerry Valley farm. Finished on the sixth of May and took some photos of the progress of the seed on the sixteenth of May. Lucerne and clover were planted via the small seed box. This farmer was so impressed with the action of the Aerator he went out and bought his own that same week!

17.01.2022 A bit of light clearing today of Lantana and Cockspur. At the same time fallen timber was cleaned up with the 4 in 1bucket and put in a pile ready to be used for next winters house heating.

16.01.2022 With a below average rainfall forecast for the next three months, now is the time to aerate your land to get advantage of any potential rain.

15.01.2022 Planting oats for a customer in the Kerry valley.

14.01.2022 Mulching grass and piles of dried out lantana in the #lostworld at #worendocottages.

12.01.2022 Autumn is now the time for planting Oats, Rye grass or pasture mixes of clovers and herbs such as Chicory and Plantain. With a large seed box and small seeds box we have your needs covered. Aerating your soil at the same time as planting is a cost effective way of improving water infiltration coming into our traditionally dryer winters.

12.01.2022 Got this aeration done before the rain.

12.01.2022 http://greatplainsaustralia.com.au/products/606nt/ A look at the machine that will be used for zero Till Planting in the Scenic Rim Area.

11.01.2022 Our 1.8 metre Aearway Aearator and 1.8 metre Great Plains no til seeder at work, but not our tractor. This was part of a pasture cropping project in the Brisbane Valley some years ago.

11.01.2022 Zero Till Planting is also able to do light clearing. Can be done as part of a whole land management program incorporating mulching, seeding, aeration and fertilizing.

10.01.2022 Week old rye grass plant Direct drilled on the 6th of April, photo taken on the 13th of April. Will keep this paddocks progress up on more posts.

09.01.2022 Shepherd Barley planted on 23 millimeters of rain just over a week ago. Inquiries for planting has increased since having a bit of rain.

09.01.2022 Using pasture harrows to break up the dry manure that has been building up over the last 14 months. It will be free slow release fertilizer now spread evenly across the paddock. After substantial rain a process called mineralisation, a break down of organic matter, will increase nitrogen as nitrate and potassium will be taken up by the pasture. So save some money and delay applying fertilizer for a few weeks after decent rain.

08.01.2022 On the left a photo of Endura Rhodes grass taken on the nineteenth of February, planted on the fourth of February with the triple disc seed drill.

06.01.2022 Some information from the Zero Till Flyer.

06.01.2022 Planting Endura Rhodes grass in the hills of #TheLostWorld, Darlington. Had 30 millimeters of rain on the Monday evening but being a triple disc direct drill machine I managed to get the rest planted on the Tuesday. Small areas and hilly difficult country is a specialty of this compact seed drill.

06.01.2022 Great time to aerate while its dry. The " pockets the machine creates in the soil collects rainfall and reduces runoff.

05.01.2022 Zero Till Planting takes biosecurity seriously. Having our own farm we understand the risks of introducing weeds. We have just completed a Tafe course in wash down of machinery to gain new skills in this important part of our business.

04.01.2022 A few pictures of our machines at Zero Till Planting.

02.01.2022 Hoping this comes our way. Still plenty of time for a summer crop or improved tropical pastures with the right moisture.

02.01.2022 At Zero Till Planting we not just about planting but also offer other services such as mulching. Our flail mulcher cuts grass up finer which means it brakes up quicker than a conventional slasher. Call us for your grass management needs.
