24.01.2022 BEHIND THE DESIGN #1 "Let's make STRAIGHT PATHS through what we say" This is obviously a quote from the pre chorus of "Straight Path Home" but why is it on a shirt? Well, firstly Context! Context! Context! - When John the Baptist was preaching in Jesus day his message included an encouragement to "prepare the way for the Lord's coming." Which he is quoting from Isaiah. ... One of the big questions I was addressing when I wrote Straight Path Home is - "What does it look like for us to prepare the way for others to encounter Jesus - and to ultimately bring REVIVAL ?" The WAY we SPEAK and act has enormous potential to prepare the way... or to add more debris to the path! If we're acting like Christ as Christians to people in our everyday - we're preparing the way! If we're acting far from Christ-like as a Christians we're adding debris in the path for others. So why the shirt? TO REMIND US! Particularly when we're with non believers - let's make Straight Paths (for them to experience Jesus and salvation) through what we say. Let's prepare the way through our words! Let's get ready for REVIVAL FIRE . ALL the prophets are declaring REVIVAL right now. 19.01.2022 Behind the design #3 "Flowers Blooming" - Men's Shirt Although there is the same lyrics on the Womens and Men's shirts (which reference Isaiah prophesying Israel's restoration), I feel like I have different thoughts on each of them. So this is my thoughts on the Men's design . Around the rose we have the lyrics "Flowers blooming where there's thorns, open doors where once were walls and hope rising where once tears fell".... Designing the men's shirt I really had Isaiah 54:2 on my heart. Enlarge the place of your tent, and let the curtains of your habitations be stretched out; do not hold back; lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes." This is a picture of enlarging capacity - To stretch out your tent pegs means to make room for God to move in your life . Sometimes the process of doing this can be challenging, for example if you make time to pray in the morning you might need to sacrifice something else that would usually take your time, like sleep. But where you make room for God, he will bless your obedience. The declaration on this shirt is all about encouraging us in kingdom building - making room for God in our lives so that he can move. When we keep doing this we'll find fruitfulness where there was once emptiness and open doors of opportunity where there were once barriers. 18.01.2022 Behind the design #5 "Grace, Grace" and "With Shouts of Grace! Grace!".. last one for now, more designs coming in 2021 This design is what started it all - where I became inspired to make T shirts. We constantly need to be reminded that everything we do as believers is by Grace! ... I think of it like this - his power in us is perfected by his Grace working through our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). So if we will just lean into his Grace and work to co-labour with Christ - amazing things will happen. But really the whole idea of "Grace! Grace!" Comes from Zechariah 4:7 where it is prophesied that the completion of the temple will happen with Shouts of Grace. I did a post on this a while ago if you want a recap - but that revelation inspired the shirts and the song. It's a message I feel like we need now more than ever in world where everything is running at a million miles am hour and it is tempting to feel left behind. But Grace. Grace means we are empowered to keep pressing forward and not shrinking back into our camps of fear and doubt. With shouts of Grace! Grace! 07.01.2022 BEHIND THE DESIGN #2 "Be Clothed in Peace, Be Clothed in Grace" This is obviously a quote from the bridge of "Straight Path Home" but why is it on a shirt?... First up, this is a continuation of the same thought I shared in behind the design #1. It's all about bringing heaven's culture into your everyday life and paving the way for revival fire . Why Peace and Grace though? Why particularly mention those? Carrying the Peace of God in your everyday is something that arrests people and often truly catches them off guard. I don't mean zen, or some weird spiritual peace - I mean Phillipians 4:7 - the peace that pasts all understanding. I'm talking about the kind of peace that freaks people out because you seem to be the only light of peace in their chaotic world and there MUST be a supernatural explanation. And Grace, well... I could probably write book on my revelations about Grace and just how powerful it is... I did write a song haha. I'll go into that more when I do that behind the design. Grace is a gift from God that allows us to fulfil our calling in him - it's the Holy Spirit enabling us to do things we otherwise couldn't. To be clothed in Grace means that you have the empowerment of the Holy Spirit to be Christ-like in everyday life ... who knows we need that!? Amen and amen. I need that always. I'm far too human and to represent Christ I need to be clothed in Grace. I'm just going out on a limb here and say you do too . 05.01.2022 Behind the design #4 "Daises" and "The Rose" - Women's Shirts I shared my thoughts on the Men's version of this shirt last week, now I thought I'd share my thoughts on the women's designs (yes, there's actually 2!) My amazingly talented friend Jess Walker did 2 different designs for the ladies versions and I loved both of them, so we have two types! "Daisies" and "the Rose" .... To me these designs speak of overcoming and our Father's ability to use everything for our good (Romans 8). No matter what crazy things happen to us in life we know that God is Good and he loves us - he is a master of redeeming things the enemy meant to harm us and using them for our good and in Christ we are more than overcomers. So yes, absolutely we can prophesy over our own lives everyday - "Flowers blooming where there's thorns, open doors where once were walls and hope rising where once tears fell". Because that's what our God does in our lives all the time when we lean in and trust him, even when it looks like a mess.
