Secretly I'm imagining I was back in this fluffy green vineyard with the warm sun on my face on a balmy Barossa March evening... Whilst the upcoming wedding season is going to be a lot less busy and hectic, I am looking forward to spending these days again with my beautiful couples. I miss you all so much.... 24.01.2022 ~HELLO~ We have some lovely new folks around here - a big wave from me to you and welcome! I wanted to take a quick moment to re-introduce myself and tell you a little about what I do as I haven't done that for a while. Here goes!... I am a professional photographer based in Adelaide, South Australia. I have always been a creatively led soul and all of my lifes adventures led me to exactly what I was born to do storytelling and capturing memories. I've been blessed to be working professionally as a photographer for over 6 years now! When Im not working, youll probably find me at home sweet home looking after my beautiful family Isabella (12) and Emmeline (10 months) and Craig, my rock and ever supportive husband. Together, we love to holiday abroad, be tourists in our own town checking out local events and markets, go for country drives and snuggle up on the couch in our jamies. I like to embrace a balance of artistry and technicality in my photography. I strive for relaxed, naturally lit photos that above all capture connection and real moments. I am lucky to live on the cusp of the beautiful Barossa Valley region which provides many stunning backdrops and country vistas to work with. My light, airy, filmic style of image post-production is the signature of my art. My images have a nostalgic feel and a timeless elegance ensuring they are relevant and beautiful for years to come. A huge thank you to Miss Maggies Flowers for nailing the brief for my blooms and for providing me prettiness in my house all week long. Thanks also to Ashlea from Little Woodland Florist for my table and backdrop - yes I loved it all and no I did not want to give it back! ... Also very grateful for Em from Chateau Yaldara for organising such a fab day. Of course I couldn't have done this without my own little support crew in my family - bless them honestly. 19.01.2022 ~Country Wedding Elegance at Kingsford Homestead~ Heartfelt congratulations to Michelle and Craig who were married at the iconic Kingsford Homestead this past weekend. Surrounded by their nearest and dearest and by stunning country vistas as far as they eye could see, this gorgeous couple said an emotional 'I do'.... What a thrill it was to wander about the homestead and the grounds to capture some beautiful shots - these folks were naturals and I can't thank them enough for putting their trust in me to capture their day. I'm so happy with the quality, aesthetic and how deliciously tactile the matt finish is. 15.01.2022 ~Please Read!~ I just want to say thank you from my heart... The last few months, trying to run a small business amidst a global pandemic, it's been really hard at times. Motivation to keep on going and not really knowing what to say or what comes next has been a challenge. ... I had to side step for a moment to help my family get set up for learning and working from home - spinning all the plates as fast as I could to keep us all going. My usual quiet days with just my baby girl at home turned into a bustling hive of activity, what a ride it's been! The wedding and events industry, which includes a lot of my dearest friends has been really shaken up. Some folks have pivoted and redirected their business and come up with fab new initiatives to keep going, some have had no choice but to temporarily shut down and unfortunately some are not re-opening at all. I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who chose to reschedule, instead of cancel, thank you to those who have made new bookings, thank you to those who offered to pay in advance, thank you to current clients who have been gracious when things have been delayed. Thank you also to the kind souls who just checked in to see how I was going, sent me a message, dropped care packages on my door step - that kind of lovely stuff. I'm hopeful and grateful that there is light at the end of the tunnel for everyone. I'm excited to see how this new kind of normal will transform and bring a richness to this industry as weddings and events become more mindful and intimate gatherings. I send all my love and thoughts to everyone who follows along here and thank you so very much. If you've made it this far, well done and here's to bigger and better things ahead!

14.01.2022 ~MYTH~ A common myth is that you need to provide your wedding photographer with a list of shots to take throughout the course of the day. With over 6 years of professional shooting under my belt (phew where did that time go?!), I promise you that you don't need to feel any pressure to do this.... When I meet with couples for site visits we always discuss our favourite locations and where we would like to shoot on the day, yet there is no formal list of shots/poses etc. It's unnecessary and the chances of being able to stick to it on the day are unlikely due to factors such as time, lighting and the unexpected of course! Put your trust in your photographer and let their creative mind run free - you'll end up with connected, natural photos and a beautifully honest documentation of your day.

14.01.2022 ~The sweetest cottage in all the land~ Don't you agree though? We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at the recently renovated Gardener's Cottage at Anlaby Station. If you are looking for a beautiful country getaway with impeccable hosts, I highly recommend it!

13.01.2022 ~Details, details!~ I love to take a moment during pre ceremony photos to capture the details, keepsakes and heirlooms that make your story unique - all of the things big and small that mean so much to you and that you will want to remember for years to come. Pro Tip - have these items together and close to hand for your photographer ahead of time. You can even pop them in a box ready for them to get started when they arrive. They'll love you for it!

12.01.2022 ~Tiny Details ~ Those sweet baby fuzzles...I just can't. Isn't P just the loveliest little darling with the absolute best head of hair! My own little babe is now 15 months. Phew time flies by so fast. You simply must capture every precious and small detail so that you'll always remember.

12.01.2022 ~An update for my Facebook community~ I wanted to hop on this evening to reassure my community, clients and supporters that its very much business as usual here to the extent possible due to the global events we are all affected by. I'm still working away in the office (on a backlog of editing!), admin and bookings. If I can add to the sentiments already expressed by many fellow small business owners, its really important that you continue to support small and micro busines...ses especially sole traders just like me. We are the lifeblood of our business and without your confidence and support we might struggle to weather this storm. You can help your local wedding industry by postponing instead of cancelling and continuing to book us for later in the year, 2021 and beyond. Your health and safety are very important to me as is staying well myself so that I can be present for my family and clients. I am offering Facetime, Skype and phone calls instead of face to face meetings for the time being. Remember kindness, remember to be a good person, be flexible, open and to look out for those around you. Sending love and praying for all. 11.01.2022 ~Weekends are looking a little different around here ~ Another weekend is upon us! Usually I'd be bustling around, preparing to shoot a wedding today. I would be double checking that my equipment is clean, charged, packed and ready to go. I'd be getting my mindset into gear, curling my hair, putting on make up and a pretty dress ready for a big day capturing a beautiful wedding story.... Instead I'm flitting around at home in my pj's with my girls and my husband and pondering what we will do with today. It's been a big, tiring and busy week as we all settle into new routines, including me homeschooling my older daughter. Lucky she is responsible and an independent learner because with a baby in tow it can get hectic sometimes. It's a real full house with all of us working and studying from home now! 11.01.2022 ~A Kingsford Homestead Elopement~ Those newly married feels! I worked alongside Chelsea and Mitchell for about 2 years in the lead up to their Kingsford Homestead elopement. They waited a long time for this moment! ... What a fun day that was, more like this please! Which leads me to some info, whilst we all settle into our new 'normal' whatever that may be, please don't hesitate to reach out if you are planning on tying the knot in 2021. 11.01.2022 ~It's Christmas Eve!~ 2020, well what a year that was, what was it actually?! This year in my 7th year of business, I have never been so thankful for my fantastic clients, industry peers and of course family and friends.... Whilst it was different, challenging, emotional, difficult and so many other things it was also beautiful and in so many ways what I needed. An opportunity to slow down a little was welcomed with open arms...the chance to extend maternity leave with my youngest - Emmeline is a blessing I will forever be grateful for, along with a chance to spend more time with my family and connect in such lovely and thoughtful ways with friends even if only from a distance at times. Thank you so much to all who follow along and support me - past clients, current clients, industry folks, friends, family and everyone in between. 10.01.2022 ~Hello! I'm still here!~ Just a little update for my FB family. Whilst I've been a bit quiet on socials, I am still working hard behind the scenes. I have been working on the last of my wedding edits for the season, rescheduling weddings and other sessions and booking new clients. This leads me to an important point! Please make no mistake, next year is going to be VERY busy and I have already had to turn away new clients for popular dates. If you have been meaning to get in ...touch for weddings or other sessions please do sooner rather than later. I have also taken the slower pace as an opportunity to work on some new projects and updates which I'm excited to share with you all when the time is right. 04.01.2022 ~Briony & Brad~ Words can't really describe how I feel about this wedding and this family. Not just Briony and Brad but their extended fam too. This is the second beautiful wedding I've captured for them and it's just delightful really. They are so kind, welcoming and make me feel like part of the family. They are the type of folks that meet you with a big cuddle and a kiss and that set a place for you at the table, treating you like an honoured guest. Little things like tha...t, whilst not expected mean so much to me. So very thoughtful. I knew as I travelled out to Clare the day before the wedding that this day was going to be so special and unforgettable and it was. The venue, the styling, the colours and warmth represent everything these two are about. Congratulations Briony and Brad, I'm so glad that you were able to go ahead and celebrate your wedding even though it was difficult that some of your family and friends were not able to make it due to Covid.
