06.01.2022 Since early May, we have been running zoom dancing sessions 4 times a week. When we started these sessions, we had plenty of frustrations dealing with internet ...speeds, bad sound, & a lag between the music & the steps, but weve mostly resolved all that & I can truthfully say that weve been enjoying some fun DANCING sessions. I am delighted to say that we often been joined by teachers & dancers from other states in Australia, and from many countries around the world. Ive even managed to teach & revise a few beautiful new dances online, which have been well received. We thoroughly enjoy our chat sessions before & after each session with our dancers & our new international friends. Its great to see everyones beaming faces & to watch them enjoy dancing their favourites. Believe me, it would have been a MUCH EASIER option for me to post & email you lists of videos for you to watch (& supposedly), dance on your own. My staff & I decided that zoom DANCING sessions were the best way to stay connected & the safest way to keep you dancing. We make a huge effort for each & every class, to make them fun & interesting for you. There is a lot of preparation time & it is quite a challenge. However, I DO NOT CHARGE for any of the sessions. Anyone is welcome to pop in for as long as they wish. I have had many inquiries from dancers asking how they can pay me for the sessions..so, I was thinking.you may recall, during the 24 hour Global Marathon we participated in April, I asked for donations to the Peter Doherty Foundation for Infection and Immunity. I was pleased to hear on the news today that saliva testing to detect Covid-19, has been put into effect in Melbourne today. This is thanks to the trials carried out in the laboratory of the Peter Doherty Institute. It is an easier & faster diagnostic alternative to swab testing. My suggestion is that you please make a small donation to this extremely worthwhile cause - https://www.doherty.edu.au/ The sooner the virus is under control, the sooner we can be back dancing together in the hall!!
