25.01.2022 Hey my beautiful tribe..... As announced last night, we have now gone into Stage 1 lock down. I have had to make the devastating decision to suspend all of our Zumba classes....Including tonight’s class We have a super large hall, however I cannot control what areas the children from the school have touched. The ceiling fan is also just circulating any air we breathe, cough or sneeze out. It is simply not worth the risk to your health.... We need to stay home wherever and whenever possible for our own safety, the safety of our loved ones and for our community. I have also stopped going to the gym and pulled my children out of school. HOWEVER I am looking at the best platform to teach classes online via live streaming. You will be able to login to classes from home. This will be one way we can all stay healthy in mind and body, especially right now during all of this!! We have to stay happy, healthy, positive and fit - I am determined to be there for you all!! I will stay in touch this week to let you know how the live stream process will work. It’s a new system to me, and there’s lots I need to find out about insurance, technicalities and legalities. 20.01.2022 A healthy balanced approach to life is so important, as well as your approach to exercise. Weight training is great... for muscle strength and toning. But don’t forget your cardio!!!! ... I mainly attribute my cardio vascular fitness to my Zumba!!! Please remember to avoid touching one another and stay home if you are unwell. There’s soap in the toilet bathrooms. No touching during dances. I won’t be giving my usual hugs n kisses. 15.01.2022 My beautiful tribe.... It is with a very heavy heart that I have to say good bye to Zumba for a while . One of THE hardest decisions ever!!! STARTING TONIGHT...THERE WILL BE NO CLASSES.... It’s been a super fun 3 years...and I’ve loved meeting all of you. Every class has been special or unique in some way...and I’ll never forget my Zumba tribe. Unfortunately, Covid saw me lose my hire at our original hall...6 month break was tough on us all! The new hall has been amazing... however due to personal reasons I have to cancel classes. Life is swallowing me up at the moment, and unless I take a step back I could lose everything. Family must come first. I love you all!!! Please stay in touch...and keep dancing! 10.01.2022 Hello my beautiful Zumba Tribe!!!! Firstly, I wanted to thank you all for being so patient during this very testing time I hope you are all well, staying safe and managing with what Covid-19 has thrown your way.... For me personally, I have had to adapt my personal life, and am home schooling my 3 ‘cherubs’ On a business level, I have never been busier...working so hard to keep my Air Angels business going and keep my clients happy. This business is my main source of income. Initially, when we were forced to stop classes I was quite depressed. It’s true.... I spent the first couple of weeks over eating and drinking probably a few too many naughty drinks to soothe my sadness I then pulled myself together...and whilst home schooling and working on my business, have been doing online fitness classes with my gym to regain my fitness levels I am now ready to make my come back to Zumba for you!!!!! I have been learning some new songs, researching online platforms, rearranging my dining room, purchasing appropriate equipment ....to bring you our Zumba classes online! I would love your feedback, and will be messaging you all personally, but this is what I’m thinking.... I will be making 5 live classes available online each week. 2 evenings mid week, 2 mornings mid week, and one weekend class. There will also be pre recorded classes for you to access at your own discretion. Live classes will be $5 per class, or $15 for the whole week unlimited...live and prerecorded. I’d love your feedback on days and times that suit you best. Although I would love to offer my services for free....I still have to pay the same monthly fees to call myself a Zumba Instructor, I still have music licensing fees, insurance fees, and online platform fees. I have done my best to work out a fair price. If you are in financial difficulty...please contact me, and I’ll try to arrange something with you. Missing you all so much! 07.01.2022 As you may have heard...the Gold Coast now has restrictions in place that permit gatherings of a maximum of 10 people only. Zumba with Katie operates under a COVID-19 Safe Plan, so we are exempt from these restrictions....meaning our classes will still be starting back tomorrow!!! Social distancing, hand sanitation and sterilising of the venue before and after class are just some of the precautions taken at class to keep everyone safe.... Your safety is very important to me, so I will be following my Covid-19 safe plan strictly. Your mental health and wellbeing is also very important to me....and we’ve waited long enough!!!!! We need our Zumba classes...they give us the chance to release the stress, tension and anxiety of life at the moment. Can’t wait to see you all tomorrow night!
