06.01.2022 ANZAC Day is this Saturday 25th April. Unfortunately we're not able to do anything in-person this year (like an ANZAC march). Here are a few ideas that you can share with your members. Light Up The Dawn... At 6am on ANZAC Day STAND TO for a minute's silence at the end of your driveway, on your balcony, or in your living room to remember all those who have served and sacrificed for this nation. Join thousands of members, veterans & families around Australia for a short, personal dawn service. Camp@Home ANZAC 2020 Experience https://www.nsw.scouts.com.au//scouti/feature-of-the-week/ Scouts NSW have created an excellent program to help commemorate the event and help our members earn "Their Service, Our Heritage" uniform badge. Check out the virtual tours of the Australian War Memorial! Site says "registration" costs $8 and will receive 2 badges. ANZAC videos https://bit.ly/ANZACSCOUTS They have a great monologue with Joe Cazey a Scout leader who was in the army for nearly 25 years with some amazing stories to tell. Make ANZAC lanterns For ANZAC Day Dawn Service in your driveway. Made using 2lt milk cartons & permanent marker pens. Use sand in the bottom to weigh them down on the day, then the tea light candle to light the way! ANZAC Dawn Service Broadcast Commemorate ANZAC Day - Tune into this year's closed services on TV or Live Stream. The ABC will be broadcasting a Dawn Service from the Australian War Memorial from 5.30am. This will also be streamed live on the RSL NSW Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/RSLNewSouthWales

04.01.2022 Leadership Course iso-style returns for the year.

01.01.2022 That was an awesome night! It was so great to see the whole group together after months of Zooming and Scouting @ Home. It was also really special to see all out new Joeys and Scouts joining in. It is a real treatment to Scouting and the fabulous leaders and parent supporters who all go that extra mile that produces lots of little (and big) smiles at 2KL. Congradualtions to Dale and Ryan on their 10 anniversary in scouting.
