25.01.2022 Our Solomons missionary David Collins returned to Oz last week just before flights were suspended and has been self isolating. The ministry in the training centre in Noro continues for the moment with one of one tutoring by Richard Soto. Prayers for David and the team remaining on site are encouraged.

15.01.2022 From our national Supt Rex Rigby CALL TO PRAYER please hold up in prayer our Wesleyan Church family in Papua New Guinea, particularly for safety as one area in the highlands is experiencing significant tribal fighting with warlords and outside followers using weapons to cause fear and harm. This district has a health center and school which services a very large area. Don & Cheri Floyd, USA Wesleyan Missionaries in PNG shared that they heard from a friend who is running in...to the hills with his community to hide. Warlords and their followers are approaching to burn everything in the village. Our friends can hear the sound of a gun they've never heard before. A new type of illegal automatic weapon in the valley? Outsiders have joined the warlords and our friends fear the church's district centre will be targeted next. The church provides the only health care in the valley and one of the only schools. Our friends would rather lose their individual homes than lose the clinic and school. Pray for the safety of our Wesleyan Pastors, their family and community. Pray for protection over the Health Centre and School and the staff. *Don & Cheri are not in harm's way. Blessings & thanks for praying Rex Rigby National Superintendent

14.01.2022 About 30 guys and 30 ladies participated in the WHI pilot project of Courageous and Flourish at Ensisi Valley Wesleyan Church in Pt Moresby PNG. They came from the 5 Wesleyan Churches in that city to learn and some to become trainers who will take this programme to the regional areas. Thank you Axis Church for praying and for your support to get the team there. More updates will come but we wanted to let you know that we are back and are grateful to you for your support.

12.01.2022 Thanks in 30secs. World Hope International had its Aus division set up 20 years ago. And over the last couple of years has done the hard yards in getting registered as a Public Benevolent Institution (PBI) and is a signatory to the ACFID Code of Conduct to operate both overseas and now domestically. Over the years WHI Australia has helped with wells in Mozambique, community development in Zambia, childrens education in South Africa, Indonesia and now PNG, the Boxing Day Tsu...nami flood relief in Sri Lanka, and Indonesia, Solomons tsunami relief, sustainable farming in West Timor, mushroom farming in Cambodia, anti trafficking in Cambodia and more. Being nimble. Working through local agencies (mostly Wesleyan Churches) there has always been a high impact for the funds that are sent. Ruth Thomas CEO is thanking Axis for the support we have provided. See more
