24.01.2022 SCAM ALERT - HOW TO RECOGNISE SCAMS This email was sent to a customer of ours today claiming that her Office 365 Mailbox was full and that she had to take action to prevent emails from being deleted. Its a scam, and always check with us as she did before taking any actions. But how do we know? There are a few telling signs, for example the name is weird, it has a threat of adverse action if you do not take action straight away. A real email would ask you to contact your IT ...Administrator. But the main way to tell, and this is the best way to check if an email is a phishing email, is to just mouse over the link, dont click on it. It will then display where the link is going and if that does not match up with what it says, dont click. In this case the email is from Microsofts Office 365 Team, but the link is going to "www.sadeline.com" (with lots of extra details). Those two do not match up of course and we would recommend to delete. If you are still not sure, forward it to [email protected] and we will have a look for you. We would rather spend a couple of minutes making sure its real, than you risking losing emails/money etc and us spending 2-3 hours to fix it afterwards. Its a cliche, but an ounce of prevention is really worth a pound of cure. PS: The mouse over links also work in pretty much every program, often shown at the bottom left of screen instead. Its worth getting into the habit of checking before clicking.

22.01.2022 I popped into BL Computers today to collect donations in the Dogs Home money box/kennel, which amounted to $66.15, bringing the total to $179.75 after just 2 co...llections :-) This great computer store is run by 2 dog lovers Callan and Harry, and is situated at 7/32 Bayfield St Rosny Park, with the shopfront basically on Cambridge Rd, with off street parking down Bayfield St. BL Computers are your one stop shop for all your I.T needs in Southern Tasmania. .....they can basically do it all (including repairs and service). If you receive an email claiming that you have initiated a password reset, and that requests you do take any action if you did not, it is guaranteed a scam. ...
