15.01.2022 Restrictions have eased for Osteopathy in Melbourne Whist it is not exactly business as usual, I am so happy to be working and able to see more of you! At Body Osteopathy we are still doing pre-appointment Covid-19 screening forms, additional cleaning and temperature checks on arrival to keep everyone safe ... You are able to come in for osteopathy treatments to: -prevent a significant deterioration in functional independence which would result in an escalation of care needs (such as increased frequency in treatment, significant increase in pain, specialist input, or substantial increase in recovery time as a result of delayed care). -assess and diagnose those people whose care has been delayed during stage 4 restrictions, and where further delay likely to result in deterioration. -provide essential pre-operative or post-operative elective surgery care. 09.01.2022 BODY OSTEOPATHY is open! And we are still smiling (although it is hard to tell under all the PPE) Osteopathy clinics are able to remain open during stage 4 lockdown in Melbourne. Additional safety measures include: -practitioners wearing masks and shields -temperature checks on arrival... -additional cleaning of touched surfaces -sanitising the treatment table between clients -records kept of everyone who enters the clinic including the date and time -limited people in the reception area along with social distancing -desk shields between reception and clients Patients are still able to attend appointments at Body Osteopathy even if they live 5km away from the clinic as they are travelling to receive health care. We are still doing temperature checks on arrival and additional cleaning of frequently touched surfaces I will be wearing a mask during treatments and can also wear gloves for those who would like. 01.01.2022 Melbourne stage 4 lockdown UPDATE! There have been some recent changes to stage 4 restrictions for Allied Health that will affect all bookings. Osteopaths are still open but with some new restrictions. Currently no GP referral is needed for Osteopathy appointments HOWEVER we are only able to have face to face appointments for URGANT cases. Urgent cases are only those that if don't get treatment, you are likely to deteriorate and would have to seek help at the GP or hospital.... These are guidelines are set by the DHHS for all allied health and are to reduced movement and keep everyone safe during this time If you are unsure whether your current pain is ‘urgent’ please call me on 0434292751 and we can have a phone discussion to gage where you are at. I am also available for complementary phone consultations to talk through your current pain and symptoms, update at home exercise programs and give management advice It is a very hard, confusing and ever changing time for all. I know how many people rely on maintenance Osteo treatments and it is sad for me to have to deny people of these but that is just what is best for our community at this current time Take care and stay safe!
