24.01.2022 96% of all users received a product recommendation in our Maybelline Browbot How wild is that?? Thats 96% of all users (~10k) engaging with the Messenger Ad, answering all questions and receiving their Brow product recommendation. To encourage completion, we designed a follow-up message that would remind the user to complete the flow 24 hours after they initially engaged. As well as comedic, fun, and exciting copy/GIFs to build intrigue and sharability within the ...experience. To ensure we got the language just right...we researched the top phrases and emojis used by the official Maybelline pages, as well as in the comments from their followers (we literally have a spreadsheet ranking emoji frequency). 23.01.2022 We recently adopted the Objectives and Key Results (OKR) framework (invented by Intel co-founder Andy Grove and later popularised by Google) for goal setting and project management. Its a refreshing process of aligning all individual-level tasks to greater company objectives that move the needle towards achieving the overall vision/mission statement. The greatest thing about OKRs are simply the periodic process of measuring progress towards goals. A big thank you to all of our friends, clients, and partners who have supported and been a part of this crazy journey. Its the talented individuals that we get to work with every day that makes us grateful for choosing this path and starting bothello almost exactly 2 years ago. Here are some highlights from 2019!... 18.01.2022 We absolutely loved the 2020 Amazon Alexa Super Bowl Commercial. Its clever and hilarious. Its also a great illustration of how society has changed and evolved over the past millennia, and how it will continue to be shaped by technologies like Voice AI. Voice AI breaks down so many friction points for consumers and is the beginning of a much larger trend to humanise the way we engage with technology.... We definitely see the opportunity in creating Voice AI solutions, however, we arent quite convinced that the adoption of Voice as a B2C channel is high enough in Australia to warrant the investment. 08.01.2022 Super excited (and proud) to announce the launch of the Gold Coast SUNS Choose Your Own Adventure (CYOA) Game Day Experience Competition in Facebook Messenger. This was a MASSIVE collaborative effort with the GC Suns digital team to bring to life an idea weve had brewing for over a year. We believe that this type of gamification in Messenger for Sports is a #worldfirst and we couldnt be happier with the result. The CYOA format in Messenger is tricky to get right.... Its a fine balance between function and tonality. The outcome is to ensure that the experience is as efficient yet entertaining as possible for the targeted demographic. To further enhance the experience weve littered the copy with footy slang and player nicknames, as well as video GIF snippets from the actual plays that are occurring throughout the CYOA experience. The new Messenger (Project LightSpeed) has been rebuilt from the ground up. Through an 84% reduction in its lines of code, the app is now 1/4 of its original file size and now loads twice as fast In addition to its speed, Project LightSpeed lays the foundation to fulfil Facebooks vision for private messaging and interoperability across apps (I.e.... being able to use the same account across Messenger, Instagram, and Whatsapp - this is huge).
