09.01.2022 I am So so so proud of Amber Matthews, her commitment is above and beyond. We all get in our own heads somtimes and as soon as the voice says we cant..... everything we see everything we do begins to validate and re-enforces the CANT beliefs. Before we know it The Belief becomes a reality. Changing the voice in you head requires you to take action start saying out loud what you want. Start focusing on the sollution. ... If you dont have a plan find somone who has done it before and up skill. But the key is changing the voice in your head.... becuase a horse can see your thoughts as they poor out through your body language..... what you think becomes the reality. So start thinking you can.... say it out loud, but most of all say what you are going to do and what you want the horse to do.... stay focused on the sollution. I am so proud of Amber and the strength she has in this Vlog to show you her vulnerability. This made me cry. Because we have all been here... felt defeated. 08.01.2022 The bridle, there is a specific way that I do everything with Cooper.... Catching, leading, feeding, every time we interact with a horse he is learning. In this video I break down what a horse needs to understand in order to be bridled. You will watch this process get easier and easier and the cues that we use to bridle we will continue to use throughout the rest of our training :-)... 07.01.2022 32 ll Mouthing is when we prepare a horse to work in a bit, it is the next step after wearing a bridle and is incredibly important to get right. A horses mouth is such a sensitive place we must protect the bars of the mouth as if they were golden. We have had a lot of help from Bombers Australia, and @Gary Mudgway who fitted both our wild horses with fantastic bits. This video is a bit of fun too... I like this one!

05.01.2022 Please share this Vlog From Amber Matthews we have all had this moment where we feel we are not enough for our horses... when the plan we had for them isnt going to plan. This challenge is tough. When we compare our achievements to others glossy photos on Instagram or Face Book we can begin to doubt if we are enough. But here is the thing our horse doesn't care about instargram or who we think we want to be. ... Our horse cares about who we are right now in this moment. Being the leader that your horse needs somtimes means we have to take a step back and listen to what our horses is telling us. The hardest part then is stepping up taking responsibility, to improve ourselves. To improve our physical ability and timing but more importanatly improve the way we choose to communicate with our horse. I think what got me the most about this video is that a GOOD leader is - Honest - You can not lie to a horse - Open - If you are open to it you will hear your horse speak in actions - Greatfull - For every try a horse makes even if its not the correct answer. Amber you are natually all of these things, somtimes horses have a way of helping us get to ourselves to the next level. What you have achieved with this horse so far is amazing, the fact that you have the courage to share your journey is inspirational. Please never give up the horse world needs more people like you.
