09.01.2022 2019 11 and Under and 14 and Under Central Victoria Futures Competition is here! This exciting competition pathway is now set in place for children in the Central Victorian Region and will take place at the Fosterville Gold Tennis Centre, Bendigo in terms 2 & 3. 24 children, 4 teams of 6 players per team, will be selected in each competition. Each team will have a team captain who are Tennis Australia Club Professional Coaches. Their roles are player support:... Pre match warm ups Team motivation Assistance with singles / doubles strategies Team captains will be there to give advice during match-play (which is a tremendous support for all players involved). All coaches are committed to this tennis pathway and are very keen to establish this as a permanent player pathway in terms 2 and 3 in each year going forward. We are also thrilled to announce that some of the Futures 11s will be selected to be a part of a Tennis Australia program, working alongside the Bendigo Academy of Sport on August 25 and November 17. More details to follow. What a great incentive to get involved and commit to our Futures program! 06.01.2022 Good evening Welcome back (finally) to junior tennis coaching with Crossie. All coaching starts back w/b Monday 12 October. Can you please confirm if you’d like to resume coaching.... At the same time, please let us know if you would like to include another member of the family or if your child is NOT returning. We do have a waiting list so would appreciate your help. Invoices will be sent out after a couple of weeks of coaching, once the groups have settled in. Don’t forget to get your NSW Active Kids $100 voucher if you haven’t already. 06.01.2022 Crossies Tennis Coaching is back for Term 2! Whilst we endure the COVID-19 pandemic, tennis is in a unique position that you can exercise, have fun, learn and practice your tennis skills whilst having zero contact between the coach and pupil. For term 2 we are offering Private Coaching only, one-on-one, at Rich River Tennis Club.... Lessons will be 60 minutes duration. Lessons can be booked for Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday from 3pm. Please contact Andrew on 0417 587 967 to book now. All existing private lesson pupils will be given priority booking. Social distancing will be applied at all times. Limited use of coaching equipment. Students will use a pickup tube dedicated to their lesson only. Coach will have his own pickup tube. There will be a 10 minute interval between lessons to allow for feedback, setup of equipment and changeover. There will be an entry and exit gate to court 1. Parents are not allowed on court but can watch from behind the fence. A liability waiver must be signed prior to the lesson(s) by all families partaking and the child must be a Rich River junior member (if not already).
