25.01.2022 time flies, this is two years ago.

25.01.2022 A couple of weeks ago we shared an article about the restoration of the Maryborough Town Hall clock by local David Bland of David Bland Clock Repairs. Mitre 10 ...is proud to be a part of the project in a small way- Lance has become David's go-to man for sourcing tools, products, information and contacts necessary to complete the job. Lance has some prior experience working with the company that built the clock tower back in 1935, and has a genuine interest in the project and in helping David. David says that Lance is a man of patience and has been so helpful. We just love it when our locals are out there excelling in their expertise and doing us all proud! See more

25.01.2022 here's the beautiful maryborough town hall clock, one of our recent restorations, all set for this weekend's open house event

25.01.2022 David Bland Clock Repairs gets a mention in this great feature on one of our favourite artists, Christopher Trotter, who I worked with to create the amazing Blumbergville Clock

24.01.2022 what a beautiful clock this one is. the oldest clock we have worked on here is also one from 1770 - an english longcase grandfather clock

24.01.2022 a lovely story about a the bugler alarm clock which has been in the sparling family for generations. it also mentions the job of the knocker-uppers - people who woke other people up for a living - knocking on their door or window til they got up - in the days when only the quite wealthy had clocks. https://grandadsfamilyjewels.wordpress.com//james-sparlin/

24.01.2022 here's david with a short interview with the fraser coast chronicle, talking about his restoration work on the maryborough city hall clock.

23.01.2022 Early in the year this was one of the projects I had work on a beautiful old clock at Ipswich Grammar School

23.01.2022 just for something a little different - only $36,000 :)

22.01.2022 here's an excellent video of a rolex submariner being disassembled. the same process is followed by David Bland Clock Repairs but on a larger scale when repairing clocks.

20.01.2022 Blumbergville clock, the AMAZING clock in the middle of town in Boonah - from the other side as promised to Christopher Trotter :)

19.01.2022 here's something to aspire to :) this is atop the brisbane city hall clock tower

14.01.2022 what a great piece of work this is. marvellous to collaborate with chris trotter to help create this masterpiece. fabulous that it will feature in the scenic rim's new tourism shoot.

14.01.2022 Have you ever wondered what it's like inside the Ipswich clock tower? Here is your chance to find out as we take a tour to the top of the historic landmark

13.01.2022 Wanna see what the future looked like centuries ago? Step into the workshop of Brittany Nicole Cox, one of the world's only antiquarian horologists. She builds and repairs antique clockwork devices, so she's kinda like a mechanicfrom the 17th century.

12.01.2022 great shot by Christopher Trotter

12.01.2022 great shot of the Blumbergville Clock, thanks to Matthew Willmann

12.01.2022 The Blumbergville Clock, sitting in the heart of Boonah on High Street, is a unique piece of installation art created by renowned local artist Christopher Trott...er and clockmaker David Bland. Its name is a historical reference to an early name for what is now Boonah township. Council commissioned the clock in 2012 and it is intended to honour the spirit of resilience in our community, in particular our farming community, following the natural disasters of 2011 and 2013. The project was funded by a Community Development and Recovery Package through the Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery Arrangements (NDRRA), an initiative of the State and Federal Governments, together with funds from the Boonah and District Cultural Foundation and Scenic Rim Regional Council. Additional funding from the State funded the installation of custom lighting and an interpretive plaque. photo supplied by Scenic Rim Council #scenicrimtourism.org.au #boonah

02.01.2022 the Blumbergville Clock had a service this morning. all good for another six months :)

02.01.2022 interesting ... the background behind the term 'grandfather clock'

02.01.2022 The Blumbergville Clock speaks! To those not in the know...Boonah was originally named after the Blumberg brothers who started up the Aussie Hotel. The last clo...ck noise is a local bird, and each quarter hour will sound a different local animal. Chris Trotter made the clock casing from local used parts...I can't wait to hear what animals he chose! A shout out to David Bland as well who made the actual clock. See more

01.01.2022 a bit of action at the blumbergville clock
