17.01.2022 Twelve and a half years ago two friends started a business. Two people who simply wanted to play with cars and share their passion with other like-minded people. At the time that was all there was to it. At the time we never imagined we’d be where we are today. We never imagined that we’d soon need a larger premises or that we’d expand to a team of six. We never anticipated how many amazing customers, projects or fellow business that we’d be involved with. The last twelve yea...rs has simply been an enjoyable journey that we never saw coming. Just as we never anticipated how far Garage 7 would go, we never anticipated where life would take us. Garage 7’s owners have been feeling the tug of change for a while now and as a result we have decided to make some changes. Rest assured that Garage 7 is here to stay, albeit in a slightly different form. Garage 7 is evolving... After much deliberation we have made the decision to close our current workshop facilities, with a wind down beginning January 2021. Please Note: We will devote the following months ensuring that all existing and booked work will be completed as planned. Going forward we will be focussing on our sales and consultation services. We will be continuing to supply and support the high-end motorsport orientated products that our customers and industry partners know and love. 15.01.2022 Hey guys, if you’ve somehow been living under a rock and are just hearing this; SA is in a stage4 lockdown. At close of business last night it was very unclear whether mechanical services were going to be allowed to be open or not. We made the decision to follow the lead of a large portion of our industry friends and close up for the 6 days. In the early hours of the morning the directive was issued that mechanical business could remain open, with the emphasis that critical... operations only to be the focus. Lets call a spade a spade. Racecars aren’t critical. Weekend fun cars aren’t critical. (I’ll pause for your heckling here.) We’ve all taken work home and set ourselves up, we’ve cancelled childcare etc. I’ve got an itchy tinny-finger, and with that, we’ll see you all next week. Parts will be available in a drop-ship fashion, the phone is unavailable and will make an announcement regarding bookings early next week once we have gauged how much we have achieved from home.
