25.01.2022 Of men up to age of 85, one in six males will be diagnosed with prostate cancer. Prostate cancer in its early stages often shows no symptom, making it difficult... to detect. When symptoms do appear, it is normally due to non-cancerous conditions affecting the prostate. When a patient is referred to the urologist with suspicion of prostate cancer, it is typically an elevated PSA. PSA is, however, not a diagnostic test; its just a red flag. The next step usually is to get a multi parametric MRI. The radiologist will analyse and give a score, known as the PI-RAD score. The score tells how suspicious any lesion is in the prostate, for the urologist to come to a final decision as to whether to proceed to a biopsy or not.

06.01.2022 2016 ... ,CLICK https://nextplus.nextmedia.com/article/2_683499_0 : # # # # Robotic Arm Extracts Prostate Tissue Prostate cancer is a common cancer for men, and ranks as the third most common cancer in a 2016 compilation by the Hong Kong Cancer Statistics Center. Since then, almost 2,000 new cases have been diagnosed. Hence, to deal with prostate cancer early, older men should undergo regular checkups. Although the symptoms of prostate cancer can be invisible, the advancement of medical imaging scanners, along with the improvement of magnetic resonance technology, has enhanced image analytics, allowing for greater rates of detection. Now, a prostate biopsy can be performed via a robotic arm embedded with magnetic resonance and ultrasonic fusion. In this manner, any deficiency of the prostate tissue can be safely collected and accurately examined. Not only has accuracy increased by 30%, this method also greatly reduces the risk of infection, incontinence, and sexual dysfunction after the examination.
