16.01.2022 Frustration!! I had a bad web developer experience recently, and wanted to share my pain to hopefully spare you. I’m not a web developer but I spend heaps of time in the back end of websites updating content, writing blogs and playing with search engine optimisation. Recently I was involved in a website upgrade for a client. The site looked amazing but the backend is SO complex it's almost impossible to use - hence the frustration!... If you're thinking of updating your website in the future talk to your developer about these 3 things before you start even thinking about the design and content: *User friendly back end functionality. You need to be able to use and adapt your site quickly and easily without high level developer understanding. *Ability to manipulate SEO on every page on the site. Each page on your site should be manipulated to increase your search engine optimisation. *Agreement of ongoing support. Don't let the develop out of your site without an agreement on what ongoing support for the site will look like and cost. Hope this helps and stops you pulling your hair out like me!
05.01.2022 It’s been two years since I jumped off the safe job and secure income cliff and started my own media, marketing and communications business, and it’s been real! I’ve worked harder and learnt more in the last two years than the previous 10 years combined - I call it upskilling in hyperspeed! Thanks to all those who have believed in me along the way. ATM I'm working on a project that is trying to stem the tide through education, training and support. Here I am interviewing an amazing man Jason Lord who works with ex-prisoners to stay out of prison.
