22.01.2022 Burrumbuttock to Armidale Hay run Australia Day weekend.... what a fantastic event and what a huge donation to the region. Each and every one of Burrumbutt...ock Hay Runners are some of the finest, hardest working and most generous people we’ve ever met and had the privilege of working with. Again a massive thanks to Burnett Civil, Ernie Burnett Plumbing & Burnett Heavy Haulage. For generously donating the use of their step deck for the run. The pill of giving Is very addictive....

20.01.2022 A big Happy New Year to all our customers and suppliers from all of us here! Unfortunately it wasn't the happiest times for this little fella, Paul who was severely burnt in the recent fires. Paul is recovering at Port Macquarie Koala Hospital and so we at Burnett Group wanted to lend a hand by donating to his recovery. ... He was the first live koala to be found at the Crestwood/Lake Innes Nature Reserve fireground. Lake Innes Nature Reserve Paul was found curled up on the burnt ground by a member of the public who brought him to the Koala Hospital. Paul was severely dehydrated and had suffered burns to his hands and feet which usually occurs when the koala climbs down the burning trunk of the tree. His fur is also singed over 90% of his body. Why not join us and help our injured wildlife too! There are many places you can donate directly to like the koala Hospital in Port Macquarie. https://www.koalahospital.org.au/act-now/donate

18.01.2022 We take a moment to remember the devastation that was caused from the bushfires last summer. Some of you may recall that Burnett Civil and Plumbing adopted a little Koala named Paul at the Port Macquarie Koala Hospital. He had endured the worst injuries from the fires near Port Macquarie out of all their Koala patients. Unfortunately today we received the sad news that despite all the best efforts made available to him, our little mates health deteriorated over the last few ...days and sadly he passed away Many of our wildlife are still recovering from terrible burns and require ongoing treatment before they can be returned to their territory so it only seems right that we continue our financial support to another fluffy patient at the Koala Hospital. We look forward to going to meet our new adoptee and will share pics as soon as we can. If you would also like to help these beautiful Koalas or any other wildlife in need it’s simply a phone call away or see their Facebook page for information on how to help. R.I.P little Paul

12.01.2022 This is going back. We think this article was from the late 90's or early 2000's when we were experiencing drought and fires at that time. It shows Ernie battling a fire that started on the side of the road ( near where locals refer as Kenny Walkers corner) near the power lines on Coramba Rd, Karangi. On the flip side of that cutout is a part of a story about hay being delivered to drought stricken farmers in our district.
