25.01.2022 Were so proud of the beautiful River Downs Rhythm and Olivia Galetto. Liv and Rhythm have formed a great partnership and are starting to achieve some good results including placing at the recent Interschool Qld State Championships. We currently have a number of youngsters and competition horses for sale so please contact us if you are looking for your next equine partner.

25.01.2022 Were getting ready for our Showjumping training day tomorrow. The outdoor course is set up and the ring crew are hard at work in the indoor. Were looking forward to enjoying a great day of training!

23.01.2022 Today we took a couple of our youngsters to Kingaroy, a great country show. Four year old River Downs Bronson had a win in the metre class and three year old River Downs Draco placed in both the 70 and 80cm classes. Good boys!

20.01.2022 Congratulations to Kate Jackwitz on her win in the Foxhunter class on River Downs Tinka at the Greg Grant Festival of Showjumping at Caboolture today. Tinka was bred, started and campaigned by us before being purchased by Kate who has enjoyed some great results with this lovely horse. We currently have other talented young horses ready for their next competition home. If you are looking for that special horse please contact us for a chat.

18.01.2022 SHOWJUMPING CLINIC with Don & Karen Sullivan Saturday 11 January 2020. Clinic cost of $110 includes - One group lesson (max 4 riders) of flat work and pole work.... One group lesson of riding showjumping courses. Lecture on course walking and warm up procedure including question and answer session. One yard and campsite for Saturday night to stay over for the competition training day on Sunday. Great way to get ready for the new season! 17.01.2022 AN UPDATE FOR OUR CLIENTS REGARDING LESSONS: Due to an amendment by Equestrian Qld as follows lessons can continue at our property. In accordance with the Queensland Health Non-essential business, activity and undertaking Closure Direction (No.4) members can travel (including the transport of horse/s) for the purpose of social sporting activity or training/lessons with one other person whilst complying with all government restrictions, social distancing and hygiene requireme...nts - That coaches can conduct lessons with a single student and in accordance with all government restrictions, social distancing, hygiene requirements and guidelines from Equestrian Australia and Equestrian Queensland. We will update again if this changes. We hope everyone is staying well in these difficult times. Enjoy your horses, what a great opportunity for some training!

16.01.2022 We love following the progress of the River Downs horses that we have bred and started. We are particularly proud of River Downs Rhythm firstly pictured here competing in the five year old class at Aquis Champions Tour show. This lovely mare was then purchsed by the Galetto family and over the last few years she and Olivia have formed a very successful partnership. They are pictured here at the recent Interschool Qld State Championships. We currently have a number of horses available for purchase from youngsters to competition horses.so please contact us if you are looking for your next equine partner.

15.01.2022 Great weekend at Lockyer Jump Club Easter Showjumping at Laidley. Thank you to Jessica Newport and her helpers for all their hard work. Just a couple of pictures of my favourite little mare Mia who was lots of fun and even picked up some prize money

15.01.2022 The River Downs team are competing at Theodore show for the next couple of days. Today was the junior events and we had a great start with Billy and Golden winning two classes.

15.01.2022 Great weekend at Sunshine Coast Showjumping Club at Nambour. Always a well run show with a friendly, helpful committee. Mia jumped some nice rounds and was lots of fun as usual. Baby of the team, 4yo Star (River Downs Stardom) enjoyed his first show although I think he's telling me he'd like to jump a little higher than 70cm next time!

14.01.2022 I’m having an end of season clean and tidy of my tack room and trailer so I’ll have some gear and clothing for sale at the show jumping training day this Sunday. All very reasonably priced so come grab a bargain!

11.01.2022 I would like to thank both Don and Karen Sullivan for doing such an amazing job with my horse Eclipse. I sent her away to them both a couple of weeks ago. She w...as a disrespectful, no mannered horse. He had a saddle on her within the first week of being there and when I saw her by week 4 she was a quiet and most well behaved horse I have seen. 05.01.2022 We always love getting updates on the horses we have bred, started and sold. River Downs Calypso and Elizabeth Boneham were in great form at the recent Gold Coast Show. Calypso is by Four Winds Aalexin out of Jaybee Clair who is one of our best producing broodmares. We currently have his 4 year old full brother for sale who is showing every indication that he will be as successful as his older brothers and sisters.

04.01.2022 Today two of our home bred youngsters had their first outing to Toowoomba Jump Club. A great learning experience that they handled really well! Both are from the first crop of foals by our young stallion River Downs Blue Star who seems to be passing on his sweet and obliging temperament. Thank you to Coby Brown for the lovely photos.

04.01.2022 Congratulations to Vikki and Kayla Moore on the purchase of River Downs Bronson. We'll certainly miss having this sweet boy on our team but we're very excited for this new partnership. We're sure there'll be lots of fun and success in the future for Kayla and Bronson!
