03.01.2022 I've just uploaded my latest track 'Conversing with Mr Beluga' to Bandcamp featuring my Cylisax. Have a listen. Now that all my gigs over the next 2 months ha...ve been cancelled I have time to write and record new music and share it online. Next month I have a new Project - I am going to compose, improvise, record and upload one track everyday of April. The 30 track album will be called "APRIL". All I ask is that instead of paying me for the music downloads you make a direct donation to Oxfam's 'provide-clean-water-for-families-in-zimbabwe project'. That donation can be for any amount that you can afford. Many women and children in rural Zimbabwe spend hours every day walking long distances to get water. And it’s not even clean. But a single tap can transform their lives women would have more time to earn an income and kids wouldn’t have to miss school. With your generosity we can provide time-saving, life-changing local water sources for communities in need.https://www.oxfam.org.au//donate-to-help-provide-clean-wat

03.01.2022 New tune from an ol' cobber of mine. Former drummer with '80s new wave outfit, The Dugites and Snakefish... check out this groovy little track from Clarence Bai...ley. Always an inspiration to the very much younger me, Clarence hailed from South Africa and grew up in Williamstown, Victoria before settling in Perth in the early '70s. The Dugites were a much underrated West Australian band, which featured Lynda Nutter on vocals. They recorded three albums, from which were lifted the charting singles ~ 'In Your Car', 'Juno' & ' Cut the Talking'. The band also appeared on Molly Meldrum's Countdown (ABC TV + iview). An accomplished artist, Clarence has created a magical animation to accompany this jaunty song. By Pete Dawson.

02.01.2022 Very sad news from Melbourne about the tragic death of Marcus de Rijk, a respected member of Australia's folk community. MCo Trad & Now magazine
