09.01.2022 A Different Way to Pray Did you know that when you pray, you don't always have to do it by talking? In church and Sunday school, you're probably used to people ...praying out loud. And you're probably also familiar with praying quietly to yourself. But there are other ways to pray too. One of those is to write down your prayers. All you need is a notebook or a journal or even just some pieces of paper stuck in your Bible. You can copy down prayers from the Bible. (Try looking in the book of Psalms for some amazing ones.) You can write down a list of things you're thankful for. You can put your prayer requests - big and small - on the page too. Or you can just write a letter to God, just as if you were writing a letter to a friend. It's all good! What's really fun is to look back at your prayer notebook or your letters to God and see how He answered you every time. Maybe in ways you didn't expect, but always in His awesome, perfect way. God, when I get bored with praying out loud or praying silently, help me to change up the way I pray by writing down my prayers. Thank You for always listening to me and always answering me. Amen.
