24.01.2022 The ANZAC Day Ceremony will be held at the Aberfeldy Cemetery on 25th April, 2019 at 9.30 am. This is a different time than usual, so please mark it in your diaries. Hot drinks and refreshments will be provided afterwards. This ceremony will be led by the Trafalgar RSL. This is a special event held in the beautiful, peaceful town of Aberfeldy, on top of Mount Lookout where the view over the Latrobe Valley and the Baw Baw Plateau is spectacular. Everyone is invited to this unique place of reflection.

21.01.2022 The annual Anzac Day ceremony will be held at the war memorial at the aberfeldy cemetery on 25 April at 12 noon. Refreshments will be provided after. Anyone wishing to lay a wreath is welcome but please let me know by messaging me. An unveiling of an interpretive sign about the War Memorial will be part of this event. We look forward to everyone who can attend.

20.01.2022 Heavy snowfalls forecast again for Aberfeldy this week. Thanks to Michael Leaney for this photo.

19.01.2022 Our landscapers have repaired the stonework at the base of the Seat of Remembrance in time for Armistice Day. Thank you to John Schroeders and his helpers for this wonderful work.

16.01.2022 Three new signs have been installed at the Aberfeldy Cemetery telling the stories of three families buried there. Visit the cemetery to read of the Svenson, Bake and Beardmore families. Each sign is installed at family graves.

11.01.2022 The Aberfeldy Cemetery Trust has been granted two grants for equipment for grounds maintenance. One from the Department of Health and Human Services and one from the Baw Baw Shire. We thank those organisations for the opportunity to receive funds for the maintenance of this significantly historic cemetery. The Trust is dependent on the volunteer labour and commitment from its members and friends. This new equipment is a wonderful asset to this important work.

10.01.2022 The Unveiling of the Christina Shaw sign was a fantastic day. This sign tells the story of Christina and was unveiled by many of her family members.

01.01.2022 A bleak, wet day for ANZAC Day at Aberfeldy but we had a fantastic time. Over 60 people attended, and 5 wreaths were laid by local organisations. Thank you to everyone for their support and commitment. A special thank you to Cr. Michael Leaney for conducting the ANZAC segment and Ian Code for his help with the music and amplifier. Thank you to Joel Smithard for unveiling our new sign. Also thank you to the Trust for setting up all the gazebos for everyone to stand under and for the amazing amount of food. The fog was down to start with but by the end of the ceremony, we could see the surrounding mountains. Just beautiful.
