24.01.2022 Are you trading in your regular bed for a swag or tent over the festive season? Here are some easy stretches to keep your back happy and flexible whist enjoying the great outdoors. Roll downs gradually roll down towards your toes trying to move all parts of your spine.... Childs pose- sit back onto your heels reaching out through your fingertips. Stay for as long as you like Knee rocks Laying on your back with your knees bent up, rock (gently) from one side to the other. Thread the needle- On all 4s twist your spine around to one side lifting your arm toward the sky, twist back the other way reaching the hand (thread) underneath the supporting arm (needle eye). Windmills- standing with legs wide apart, Twist your arm towards opposite foot and back up. Don’t forget to switch your tummy on to support your spine. Leaving the best till last Try some outdoor fun Riding, swimming, Stand Up Paddleboarding or hiking. Get out there and make the most of your summer holidays!

This syndrome most often affects women aged 40-60yrs and presents as pain on the side of the hip, often when walking, climbing stairs or laying on your side to sleep GTPS is most commonly caused by weakness in the gluteal muscles and poor hip control. ...
