The current COVID-19 pandemic is wreaking havoc on global and local trading markets, and in particular, the Australian Dollar has dropped in value significantly over the last couple of weeks and days. At Ace Computer World, we are monitoring this closely to ensure we remain agile in taking measures to ensure we can provide business continuity and value to our customers. It is important to recognize that the majority of our imported products are purchased in US Dollars, this, in particular, has been impacted by the current events - the cost of goods purchased is as of today 17% higher when compared with January 2020! While we are taking every step to minimize price increases by cutting costs and increasing efficiencies, the extraordinary pressures on global trading markets (especially Australian exchange rates) have now made price and rebate reviews unavoidable. While we are aware that many people have been placed into lockdown, we are currently still fully operational.... Our store is open normal business hours and we strive to provide a clean and hygenic environment for our clients. We are also available to provide remote, on-site, and over-the-phone servicing requests. We can still provide a selection of Desktop and Notebook computers, Tablets and 2-in-1's, Monitors, Web Camera's, Keyboard, Mice, Printers, Ink Cartridges, Speakers, Headsets, and anything else you might need to work from home. The facial recognition will automatically scan on entry & quickly give a reading.to help with early detection of virus symptoms... Thermal detection allows for temperature reading without the manpower of employing staff to hand read temperature using temperature guns. 08.01.2022 Today we got another kick in the Guts There is no other way to describe how we at Ace Computer World feel after being unnecessarily wiped out in 2011 floods because of proven (Judgement 2019 in the High Court) in-competence of the Dam Operators & State Government. Today the Dam Operator Seqwater confirmed that they will appeal and try to get off on some "technicality with the judgement"!!... The Second Defendant Sunwater says it needs more time whilst fighting its own insurer to see who is responsible to pay. The state Government has said it will pay but needs to wait for the other 2 to sort out their mess. So instead of getting some of the huge cost we have paid back - today we learn that it might still take years to resolve. COME ON STATE GOVERNMENT GET OFF YOUR BACKSIDE & TAKE RESPONSIBILITY PAY UP NOW !! Statement from Maurice Blackburn Lawyers regarding floods class action 21 February 2020 At a hearing today in the Supreme Court of NSW, the first defendant in the floods class action, Seqwater, confirmed that it would be appealing the judgement handed down in November 2019 in favour of flood victims. The second defendant, Sunwater, has advised no decision on appeal has been made. This follows the State Government, the third defendant, confirming late last year it would not appeal. The following statement can be attributed to Rebecca Gilsenan, Principal Lawyer at Maurice Blackburn Lawyers: We are deeply disappointed for our clients that Seqwater and its insurers have today confirmed they will appeal the floods class action decision, with Sunwater still yet to make a decision. This long-running saga must be brought to an end, our clients have waited long enough. It has now been more than nine years since the Queensland floods and our clients want an end to the injustice they have suffered. The State Government said that it was the insurers’ decision about whether to appeal. The State then called on the insurers for Seqwater and Sunwater not to appeal. Seqwater has confirmed it will appeal, while Sunwater is now entangled in new and separate litigation with insurers who want to deny coverage. These appeals and disputes mean that real justice is a long way off for our clients, who have won their case and deserve to be paid for what they lost when the dam operators flooded them. The only way to bring this to an end is for the State to step in with a whole-of-government approach.

Apparently it tried to get into the Chemist next door first & when that failed if came under our door. ... Luckily not aggressive and happy to move back to the drain outside and back to the river.
