05.01.2022 Please be advised these images in this post contain photos of Vic Morgan who has just passed away. On Monday we lost our Brother Vic Morgan. No words can... explain this loss. Our hearts are broken. Thank you Vic for your love, guidance and commitment to the Strong Aboriginal Men Program. You have empowered so many men to find their voice and their strength. It has been a true honour to work beside you. Being in your calming presence, hearing your wisdoms and learning from your humility, has enabled us all to grow. Last week Vic was asked to reflect on his work here at ECAV and these are his words: For me to do my job in the workplace and the community I have to hold myself to account. What I stand for is to be a safe man, for my family and community. To do this I have to believe in what I do and who I am, a family man and a man who would like other men to be safe men too. My role in ECAV is an educator/ role model for other men..this is who I am 24/7. I am always striving to be better and love to challenge myself. Because of who I am and what I stand for I can hold others to account and challenge them to be the best they can. I want my kids and the community to have belief and faith in me as a strong Jaitmathung man. I can only do this if I continue to re-evaluate who I am and where I am heading. What I always say to the men of SAM just be the best you can be this is what I would like my colleagues to think of me as in the community and workplace.
