11.01.2022 Dear Active Parents, Since the announcement on Sunday night that we were no longer allowed to trade I have been flooded with emails about refunds, credits, reopening dates, online classes, term 2 enrolments etc Please understand at this time I am dealing with so many facets of our business to try and ensure we are able to bounce back from this. My husband and I have spent the last three days bouncing from meetings with our accountant, phone calls to defer loan payments, exten...sions for bills, meetings with landlords, phone calls to the ATO etc. I am still unable to advise about credits and or refunds. This is partially due to the sale of our Enoggera venue which would have seen a Term 2 takeover by Western District Gymnastics. The process around credits is also quite complex and a plan will need to be put in place to ensure this is done correctly. We are a small business, not a large company. We are trying our hardest to get all the foundations in place before we go out to you with an action plan to move forward. Please be patient and know that I will be in contact once we have an actionable plan. Regards Amanda

06.01.2022 Unfortunately due to the latest COVID-19 restrictions Active Arts Australia will be closed until restrictions are lifted. As a small family business the effects this closure will have on our staff and management will be felt for some time. I ask you all for patience and understanding during this time while we focus on how we can work through this challenge

05.01.2022 Another year is drawing to a close and the Christmas season is well and truly upon us. We would like to take this opportunity to let everyone know we have some exciting news regarding our Enoggera venue with planned improvements already underway. Some of the proposed work includes new electronic signage, Bitumen replacement/upgrade of the carpark and new insulated roof with whirly birds installed along the length of the new roof. Also, we are currently creating a brand-new m...usic program to be implemented in 2020. Some of the classes will include private singing tuition and beginner guitar and keyboard tuition. In addition, group music performance classes are being considered which will include Rock Band, vocal ensemble and musical theatre classes. These additional classes will be working towards our biggest end-of-year showcase to date and while it will be a lot of work it will also be a lot of fun. Keep an eye out on social media for updates on these exciting new classes in 2020.
