23.01.2022 Hello everyone! With the unfortunate announcement last weekend it looks like it is going to be sometime until I can see all your faces in the club.... But that doesn’t mean you can’t do a workout at home. Here is a body weight workout that any fitness level can do!!! ALL YOU NEED IS YOURSELF ... This workout is broken in 3 sections of TWO exercises BACK TO BACK. You complete each exercise for 45 seconds before moving straight into the second exercise, once you have done both 1 and 2 you take 15 seconds rest then complete again 3 times!!! Then you move onto the next TWO exercises. Exercises are: 1- lying hip raise 2- 1 and 1/4 sumo squat 1- push ups (knees or toes... challenge yourself) 2- mountain climbers 1- kick backs (45 seconds EACH LEG) 2- air squats Enjoy

22.01.2022 Do you often give in to those after dinner food cravings A great way to keep late night snacking at bay is by having a nice hot cup of tea. This can really fill that spot and if you are craving something sweet, just add some honey Staying hydrated, brushing your teeth and having a nice hot shower are also great ways to keep yourself away from the fridge and pantry ... Give one or all of these a go next time your feeling peckish after dinner and see how it makes you feel. If you have your own tips for keeping the cravings away let us know in the comments section. 22.01.2022 With our doors now back open, we would like to thank our amazing members for your patience and support as we have re-opened within the government restrictions during this challenging time. With the government further easing restrictions from 11.59pm 22nd November, Group Fitness classes will be moving back indoors and more classes will be reintroduced to the timetable from Monday 23rd November. 22.01.2022 Encouraging news for Victorian gyms - fitness facilities and gyms are looking likely to re-open on 26th of October We’re waiting for further information to come through relating to this exciting development. However, we have now been included with a lot of other industries that are allowed to reopen on the 26th of October if numbers are met. We don’t know the extent of the restrictions that will be required for re-opening but we’ll keep everyone posted as soon as we ...know more . We know gyms can open and operate safely with a robust COVID-Safe plan in place. We have successfully achieved this in Queensland with the endorsement and state-wide implementation of a Fitness Australia-led Fitness Industry COVID Safe Plan and need to make this a priority in Victoria. 19.01.2022 Get excited because we have a quick, delicious and nutritious recipe that will BLOW YOUR MIND!! Zucchini Boats!! Ingredients: Zucchini - cut in half length ways with some of the centre scooped out... Chicken (we just used a supermarket roast chook without the skin) Mozzarella cheese Buffalo sauce Method: Preheat oven to 180 degrees and spray an oven pan lightly with canola oil Place zucchinis in oven for 20 mins or until half cooked While they are cooking - shred the chicken and mix buffalo sauce (as much or as little as you like) Remove the zucchinis and stuff them with chicken mixture salt and pepper and top with mozzarella and back in oven for another 10-15 mins or until cheese is melted and starting to brown. Enjoy

19.01.2022 The countdown is on for our eagerly anticipated re-opening Our doors will officially open at 9.00am on Monday 9th November! IMPORTANT MEMBER INFORMATION FOR RE-OPENING ... ALL memberships will be reactivated from 9.00am Monday 9th November. All direct debit payments will resume from Wednesday 11th November. Your individual billing will return to your regular cycle depending on when you were last billed prior to lock down. As such, you may see a delay between the 11th of November and your next debit. If you are not ready to get back into your training yet, you will need to request to suspend your membership by emailing [email protected] You will need to mention when you would like your suspension to end as membership payments can not be suspended until further notice. Due to the new government restrictions, all Victorian gyms are required to have a Covid Marshall on site during operating hours. We are committed to helping our members continue to live an active lifestyle. So while 24/7 access is temporarily unavailable, we will be extending our staffed hours, allowing you as much time and flexibility as possible to continue your training. Following our re-opening at 9.00am on Monday, our member access hours are as follows Monday - Thursday: 6.00am - 9.00pm Friday: 6.00am - 7.00pm Saturday - Sunday: 8.00am - 1.00pm Reception staffed hours will be as normal (Monday Thursday: 9.00am 8.00pm, Friday 9.00am - 3.00pm and Saturday: 9.00am 12.00pm) Members will again have 24-hour access as soon as the government restrictions are lifted and allow us to do so. Given the very low cases and run of days of zero new cases, we are hopeful that regular 24/7 access will return shortly. 14.01.2022 I thought I would share a weekly staple in my household! Mongolian turkey mince If you are wanting a healthy, EASY and modern take on a stir fry this one is for you! ... Recipe 1 1/2 cups of Basmati rice 500g of turkey mince 2 tsp finely grated ginger 1 tsp Chinese five spice 1/3 cup (80 ml) oyster sauce 1/4 (60 ml) hoisin sauce 1 bunch of buk choy, trimmed length ways 2 carrots, peeled and cut into long matchsticks 2 tbs peanuts, chopped Method 1. Place the rice and 2 1/2 cups of cold water in a large saucepan over a high heat. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low and simmer for 12 minutes. Once water is absorbed set aside and cover. 2. Heat nonstick frypan and add turkey mince and cook, stirring with a wooden spoon to break up lumps, for 5 minutes or until mince changes colours. Add ginger and five spice and fry for 1 minute. Add oyster sauce and hoisin sauce and fry for 2-3 minutes. 3. Place buk choy in a large heatproof bowl. Pour over boiling water. Set aside for 1 minute or until tender. 4. Divide rice up into bowls top work mince mixture, carrots and buk choy. Sprinkle with peanuts. ENJOY!!

06.01.2022 Do you get to the end of the night after a long day and just want to relax with a cup of tea and a biscuit? We do! That is why we went on the hunt for some simple and tasty cookies we could make that were not full of refined sugar and additives!! BEHOLD... Healthy DOUBLE chocolate cookies with only 54 calories per piece ... This recipe was found by one of our staff members and she gives them a 10/10!! Ingredients: 2 large eggs 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract 1 tablespoon vegan butter or coconut oil 1/4 cup raw honey 1/4 cup dark 70% chocolate chips (we used Noshu chocolate chips) 1 1/3 cups spelt flour or gluten free all purpose baking flour 2 tablespoons raw cocoa powder or regular cocoa powder 1 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt Method: Preheat oven to 175. In a bowl whisk eggs and vanilla. In a small saucepan melt butter (or coconut oil) with the dark chocolate chips and the honey. Add the melted chocolate mixture to the egg mixture and whisk until combined. Add in dry ingredients (flour, cocao powder baking powder and soda, and salt), and stir until a smooth cookie batter is achieved. Cover a baking pan with parchment paper. Scoop tablespoon sized portions of the batter into balls and press down lightly to flatten. Bake cookies for 8 minutes until just puffy. Let cool completely then drizzle with some melted chocolate chips if you like Feel free to let our staff members taste test them

02.01.2022 1 MORE SLEEP UNTIL WE'RE BACK OPEN The wait is almost over! Members will have access to the club from 9.00am tomorrow Monday 9th November! A quick reminder of what you need to know for re-opening ... ALL memberships will be reactivated from 9.00am Monday 9th November. All direct debit payments will resume from Wednesday 11th November. Your individual billing will return to your regular cycle depending on when you were last billed prior to lock down. As such, you may see a delay between the 11th of November and your next debit. Due to the new government restrictions, all Victorian gyms are required to have a Covid Marshall on site during operating hours. We are committed to helping our members continue to live an active lifestyle. So while 24/7 access is temporarily unavailable, we will be extending our staffed hours, allowing you as much time and flexibility as possible to continue your training. Following our re-opening at 9.00am on Monday, our member access hours are as follows Monday - Thursday: 6.00am - 9.00pm Friday: 6.00am - 7.00pm Saturday - Sunday: 8.00am - 1.00pm Reception staffed hours will be as normal (Monday Thursday: 9.00am 8.00pm, Friday 9.00am - 3.00pm and Saturday: 9.00am 12.00pm) Members will again have 24-hour access as soon as the government restrictions are lifted and allow us to do so. Given the very low cases and run of days of zero new cases, we are hopeful that regular 24/7 access will return shortly. As has been the case with previous government restrictions, to offer maximum flexibility to members, booking will not be required to use the weights/cardio gym areas*. *Booking for weights/cardio area will be reviewed if required. 02.01.2022 Who LOVES chocolate brownies but hates the guilt after eating them?? Look no further because we have tried and tested these gooey sweet potato brownies for you and trust us.... They are AHMAZING!! Ingredients: 1 cup sweet potato purée 2/3 cup maple syrup... 1/2 cup almond butter or peanut butter 1 tsp pure vanilla extract 1 Tbsp avocado oil (or sub melted vegan butter, melted coconut oil, or olive oil) 1/2 cup cocoa powder or cacao powder 1/4 tsp sea salt 1 tsp baking powder 2/3 cup oat flour 1/2 cup chopped raw pecans or walnuts 1/4 cup dairy-free chocolate chips (optional) Method: Pre-heat your oven to 176 C and line an 88-inch baking pan (or similar-size pan) with baking paper. In a large mixing bowl, add sweet potato purée, maple syrup, almond butter, vanilla extract, and avocado oil and stir to combine. Add cacao powder, sea salt, and baking powder and stir to combine. Then add oat flour and stir until a thick, scoopable batter is achieved. Transfer batter to your baking dish and spread into an even layer then top with pecans and chocolate chips (optional). Bake on the center rack for 28-32 minutes. The brownie edges should appear slightly dry and a toothpick inserted into the center should come out mostly clean.
