24.01.2022 Yesterday was father’s day and we think dads are pretty great. This beautiful little film is an insight into dads and their experience with having a child on the spectrum. https://youtu.be/oSU9570V5D4

24.01.2022 SUPREME BAKER Our delightful friend Samarah loves to bake, so we hit the Adventurebilities kitchen and created some chocolatey gooey messy goodness. Rob popped in for the final taste test and gave the cupcakes a big delicious thumbs up ... We can’t wait to see what Samarah cooks up next!!

23.01.2022 Our first social night went off with a bang! Lachy and Tommy slayed the dance floor with some smooth smooth moves.

22.01.2022 This week we are celebrating World Duchenne Awareness Day and a very special mans 30th birthday. #WDAD2020 We are super lucky to have Jack as part of the Adventurebilities team, he is our resident venue and events reviewer and a super passionate advocate. My pen ran out trying to list all of Jacks accomplishments so just go ahead and click the link to read his story on the Muscular Dystrophy website. While you are there you can also read a little bit about what Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) is and how you can support the association. Jack has the biggest heart and as you will read, nothing will stop him from achieving his dreams. Happy 30th Birthday for this week Jack, we look forward to a few celebratory drinks with you when the pubs open back up.

22.01.2022 This week we celebrate the most amazing humans out there (especially in Victoria at the moment), who are caring, providing support and being the lifeline for their family members and friends. They don't do it for money, they do without question and always for love. They are our caregivers. It's a tough job, we thank them for it and think they are pretty damn special. #CarersWeek2020... So how can you show someone that you love and appreciate them? Do something nice, unexpected and from your own heart. - Make them a cuppa tea. - Do the dishes tonight. - Clean up your room without being told. - Give them some flowers from your garden. - Make them a card. - Give them a hug. - Read them a story. What other ideas do you have?

19.01.2022 Sam is one super cool cat

17.01.2022 A great initiative has started up to support our local community. Head on over to the Help your Neighbour Central Vic facebook page and connect with those around you through kindness and compassion. Want to do something to help but not sure how? A great place to start is to print this card and pop it in some letterboxes around you offering support to your neighbours who are most vulnerable and unable to leave their homes during these uncertain times. A little compassion goes a long way.

17.01.2022 The boys had a great time down at the beach over the weekend. I would tell you all about it but what happens on boys weekend, stays on boys weekend

16.01.2022 perfect sunny days means lots of outdoor action. Nerf gun wars, trick shots and bike stunts, this week had it all.

14.01.2022 Meet Jye Jye is a legend around these parts! An award winning cricket player, avid lawn bowler, balloon footy champion and Hall of Famer, he is a man on the move and nothing can stop him. ... Jye’s passion is teaching kids with disabilities how to play sports in their wheelchairs and there is nothing he loves better than watching them have fun and succeeding at their goals. You will often find Jye hanging out at the local footy field watching his mates play. He gets down to Melbourne as often as possible to watch the Saints in the AFL and all other major sports the big smoke has to offer. He cannot wait to start going to concerts and festivals again and catching up for a chat and maybe a beer or two with all of his mates that he hasn’t seen during these ISO times. When asked what Adventures he wants to go on in the future, I would like to go to the coast again in the beach chair so I can go in the surf and I would really like to meet Dustin Martin who plays for Richmond because I think he is a champion player, I would ask him for a photo of him with me and get his autograph. Well Jye, these adventures sounds pretty awesome to us too, let’s do it.

14.01.2022 Road Trip!! Good mates Jack and Jye had a wheelie great time checking out the local attractions and stumbling across a little wine bar in Echuca offering tastings during their recent road trip on the adventure bus. How amazing are these painted silos along the northern victorian arts trail.

National Volunteer Week has been designed to put you in the spotlight, be we think you shine every single day. #NVW2020 #NationalVolunteerWeek

12.01.2022 Ballarat Swap Meet Our adventurers had a great time fossicking through all of the old rusty tools and cars parts at the Ballarat Airfield over the weekend. We were each on the hunt for that perfect piece of memorabilia or a little project to restore. Plenty of bargains were found!

11.01.2022 HOWZAT!! There is always a little bit of fun sporting rivalry between these guys but we think they are both pretty great. How good is their form!! #cricket... #essentialsportstraining See more

11.01.2022 Riley is an expert at finding little gems in recycle yards and thrift shops. This super cool old chest just needs Riley’s expertise to get the hinges working again and it will be perfect to store all of his restoration tools. Great find Riley! #restorationguy

06.01.2022 Lost Trades Fair What an amazing adventure at the Bendigo Lost Trades Fair, it was the perfect sunny day to see all of the expert artisans demonstrating their crafts. From woodturners to blacksmiths, glass blowers to soap makers there was something for everyone to enjoy ... including a ye olde lemonade stand with a queue a mile long. With a fair ground type atmosphere everyone had a big smile on their face. Consensus was we will be doing it again next year!

05.01.2022 Meet Jedd Our super fabulous adventurer Jedd is sports MAD!! He lives, eats, breathes AFL, AFLW & the Cricket and loves being involved in local Bendigo community sports such as Netball and Footy. Jedd has taken the year off playing for the Bendigo FIDA Suns and instead has become their Team Manager. He has all his fingers and toes crossed that the footy season will start up again this year after the COVID-19 threat has passed so he can thrive in his new role at the Club.... In 2019 Jedd worked with the AFL helping out with the Auskick Clinics and he also ran a footy carnival with students from our local Kalianna school. During this time, he had the opportunity to interview some AFL players which has inspired a new project called Jeddzpodcast Now that we all have to spend time at home Jedd has been keeping himself busy by walking the dogs, playing games of UNO with the family, practicing his gaming skills on the iPad and of course watching tonnes of footy highlights on the TV. He says The hardest thing about being in isolation is not being able to see your friends. I have been trying to staying in contact by phone and video chat. When asked what he was looking forward to the most and he said going to community events with my friends. We agree Jedd and we cannot wait to get back out there with you to have some fun!

04.01.2022 Our Fun Director and all-round nice guy Rob Mercer had a chat with Jeddzpodcast on why he got in to the industry and where Adventurebilities is heading in the future. Check it out!

02.01.2022 Hey Adventurers. There are a lot of changes going on in Regional Victoria at the moment with the government reintroducing Stage 3 measures to keep everyone as safe as possible. We sent out an email to our members last night and have since then created a page on our website with more information about our service during this time and all of the things that Stage 3 means you can and cannot do. We will keep this page updated whenever new information is released.... Our entire team are here to support you in any way we can, so please don't hesitate to get in touch with us. Stay safe, wash your hands, keep 1.5m distance and wear an awesome mask :) https://adventurebilities.com.au/covid-update/

02.01.2022 Footy Superstars A big adventure to Marvel Stadium on Friday for the AFL State of Origin Bushfire Fundraiser double header. After stocking up with some essential merch our adventurers warmed up their vocal chords cheering for the women’s match before the guys hit the field for the main spectacular. ... Up close and personal on the fence line, our girls had the best seat in the house and took some great shots of their hero’s. Meanwhile the boys were busy keeping score and yelling BALL a lot. Such a fun night.

02.01.2022 Happy Mardis Gras to all of our LGBTQIA+ friends. Be loud. Be Proud. Just Be You.

02.01.2022 Coop and Glenn Coop loves to keep himself busy! With the support of his trusty sidekick Glenn, every Monday morning Coop works at his local bakery and when it’s knock off time they have an afternoon of adventures planned. From washing cars and going bowling to cooking delicious lunches and desserts, in Coops own words there is always a mission to go on. ... On the weekend Coop plays footy for the Bendigo FIDA Suns and there is forever a big cheesy grin on his face when he gets to hang out with his mates. A big thanks to Glenn who is the perfect 1:1 support partner for Coop, it’s heartwarming to see the two of them shine. #bendigo #adventure #support #communityinclusion #disability #disabilityawareness #inclusion #accessibility #mentalhealth #disabilityadvocate #disabilitypride #autism #awareness #abilitynotdisability #community #ndis #disabilitysupport #disabilityservices #ndisprovider #welovethendis

01.01.2022 AFLW - Plan B Our adventurous footy-fans were devastated that the AFLW game in St.Kilda was closed to spectators today. So instead of the big drive to Melbourne to watch it live we called in to Mister Bobs Sport Bar in Bendigo where they gave us our own private booth so we could watch the game via the best seats in the house!! With drinks and some excellent food specially prepared for us we have been treated like all day. ... 2 of the boys love putting on their yellow and black to support their favourite hometown superstar Kodi Jaques. The other is a black white and red fan through and through. A great day out was had by all. #localadventuresarethebest Life gave us lemons, Mister Bobs gave us lemonade The Foundry Hotel Complex
