07.01.2022 We are so happy to share images of our implementation training day in #Madang, Papua New Guinea After facing challenges due to Covid-19 and lots of virtual preparation in 2020, we went ahead and trained #AgUnity Champions on how to use the new devices. Over the next few days they will be training 100 farmers in their cooperative.... According to the World Food Programme, 139 million people suffer from acute hunger and the #Covid19 pandemic may have doubled this number in 2020! #FoodInsecurity was already on the rise and the pandemic is an additional threat to #FoodSystems. ... In some developing regions smallholder farmers represent up to 85% of all food producers and they are hit hard by the crisis. #AgUnity works with SDG-driven organisations in order to lift smallholder farmers out of poverty and meet the goal of Zero Hunger.
