He lives with Harry our rescue collie who is 10 years old. We’ve had him since he was 1. And they share with our 2 rescue cats Tilly and Alan and the one purchased pet our big girl Mocha the Maine Coon cat. Love our animals

13.01.2022 Don't you love it when you go to put on a necklace and find the chain is tangled and even knotted up? What should be a perfectly lovely length of linked metal objects is suddenly your worst nightmare. I admit mine had been sitting there for quite a while as I ignored it, wore a different one, or just wondered if it might miraculously fix itself while it lay in the corner of a drawer. Nope, it didn't fix itself. Still knotted. So I got to and sat quietly in the corner (of the ...room, on a chair - not in a drawer ;-) ) and I slowly did it. It took a while, I had to pull one bit, hold another, wrestle a few times, but it happened. While I was sitting there working on it, I realised how much like life that chain was. Life should be a lovely series of links right? But sometimes it gets a bit tangled, it gets knots in it. Just like my chain, there's bits of life we leave sitting in a corner of a drawer hoping they'll sort themselves out. They don't. And sometimes we can pull out the knots and tangles alone like I did with my chain. Then other times we need to get some help to untangle and unknot our kinks and links. If you're ready to untangle the chain - life links not more necklaces please! - then send me a message. Let's get untangled! See more

13.01.2022 Have you seen people using their phone instead of a bank card? I thought they were a bit mad when I first saw them I have to admit. Then I started using it too, and it's pretty cool. Gradually I stopped taking my wallet everywhere. I have an app that lets me hold store cards in it so I don't have use the actual cards, so that's in the phone too. The next thing I knew I was heading out the door with just my phone and my keys! I'd never done that! A handbag the size of suitc...ase everywhere I went, that was me. What was in it? Well, there was the diary, with a separate note book, always 2 pens, the wallet of course. Add to that my "useful" bag with cough lollies for other people, mints in case someone asked, perfume, sanitiser, nail file, lens cleaners, comb. I was ready for the apocalypse! Didn't use any of it more than about once every 3 months mind you, but hey I was prepared for anything. What I realised when I gave away the dependency on the wallet, was that I didn't actually need the bag either. I could use my phone to take notes, and it had a calendar in it too! Pen? Use the finger on the phone instead! Pop the sanitiser in the car so it's always there. Comb? Really? Have you seen my hair? Mints? Sure everyone walks up saying their breath stinks and asks for those! I was carrying a heavy load in case others needed them. Those loads were heavy. I put down the heaviest load at the start of this year, then some of the not so heavy hand bag loads and it's been amazing! I did need someone's help to work out that I needed to put stuff down, and now I can help others to do the same. Are you ready to downsize your handbag?

09.01.2022 Today is a day that floats my boat! I get to spend time with my family. For me that's a good thing, but it's not always the case. Relationships are hard. I know because I have learned to cope with a couple that are in the too hard basket. Relationships are like the ironing basket. Some you enjoy pulling out, making them right, seeing how good they look and feeling how great it is to be in it. Others lie at the bottom of the ironing basket because they're too hard to straighten out, or we're afraid they won't fit right, or look right. If you're ready to tackle that relationship ironing basket, then I'm here to help.

08.01.2022 Sliding into Friday like a Saint Bernard on a cold tile on a hot day!

07.01.2022 There's an old saying "Wouldn't give you the time of day". I used to think it meant that someone wouldn't tell you the time if you didn't have a watch. These days I think it's more that the person didn't value time. If we think someone won't give us the time of day, then we don't feel valued. If we give someone our time then we are really giving them an irreplaceable gift. Every minute of our lives is the only on of it's kind we get. Sometimes we look at our phone when we get a text and think "Ugh, what do they want now?" Perhaps we need to go to a different place and say "Wow they took time to think of me". It's at that moment we feel valued, because we know they valued us.

06.01.2022 So life is changing once again. Two weeks ago George came to live with us. He’ll be 1 in November so just a young lad. George has grabbed his second chance at life in all 4 paws. And so have I! Well 2 paws. I’ve changed my working schedule to allow 5 days a week for coaching and hypnotherapy. I’m every bit as happy with life as George. If you see us out and about he loves a pat.

03.01.2022 Today is R U OK? Day - an important day of action where everyone is encouraged to start a conversation and help make a difference - simply but powerfully by ask...ing someone R U OK? Dancing With The Black Dog and our #itsoktosay campaign is not officially associated with R U OK? Day, but we carry complementary messages and, like other mental health charities, we all ultimately strive for the same common purpose. It is therefore with great pride and hope that we do our bit here to share R U OK? Day's message. So who are you going to ask - R U OK? No really, R U OK?

01.01.2022 As part of the Harvey History Online group and South West Working Life Heritage Trail committees this place is a historians dream
