25.01.2022 I feel so privileged to have my review included for this wonderful book. It is a MUST read for fussy eaters

24.01.2022 We are recruiting individuals to participate in a clinical trial that investigates the correlation between an individuals state of health and a lab test that m...easures the presence of biological molecules called pyrroles. Participation will involve attending 3 visits to the Endeavour Brisbane campus and completion of 3 free pyrrole tests. If you are interested in participating, please click the link to assess your eligibility or contact [email protected] #pyrrole #pyroluria #pyrroledisorder See more

24.01.2022 Look who is taking over my clinic space for the day next Tuesday

22.01.2022 We need your help in recruiting participants who live in Australia and are the parent or carer of a child who has Eosinophilic Oesophagitis (EoE) and is between the ages of 1 month and 18 years. As EoE is a rare but emerging disease recruiting participants who are not members of online support groups can be challenging. Your assistance in passing on this information to any potential participants would be greatly appreciated. Why is the research being conducted?... Currently, there is no cure for Eosinophilic Oesophagitis (EoE) and treatment involves strict food elimination diets, steroid medication and special nutritional formulas. EoE patients often feel socially isolated due to their food restrictions. This research aims to identify what types of medicines and therapies are being used for the treatment of paediatric EoE, to gain further understanding as to why they are being used and who is recommending them; and to obtain insight into parents’ perspectives of the physical and emotional impact of paediatric EoE on patients and their families. The results will highlight areas in which additional support may be needed to improve the management of paediatric EoE and support EoE families. What will participants have to do? They will be asked to complete an online survey (approximately 25 mins duration). Questions will explore quality of life and experiences in the healthcare system for paediatric EoE. Survey participants will be given an option to go into the draw to win one of five $50 gift vouchers. Who is behind this project? The researchers involved in this project "Exploring healthcare use, burden of disease and satisfaction with care in paediatric eosinophilic oesophagitis" are from Griffith University. Ethics approval has been obtained from the Griffith University Human Research Ethics Committee (GU Ref No: 2018/120). For further information contact Nicole Hannan on [email protected] Note: In order to protect the anonymity of potential participants please close social media posts to comments and avoid using names when sharing. 21.01.2022 #rainbow lunch 5 minutes to chop up these veggies, added some meatballs from the #lunchbox prep done yesterday, a drizzle of tahini for zinc and extra protein, olives, cherries and voila #nutritious #delicious #healthy lunch #alchemy #naturopath

21.01.2022 Lunchbox prep done After a massive day of Nippers, followed by a trip out to Ipswich for my gorgeous nephews birthday lunch (double digits Jack woot ), I fought the temptation to chill out and chose to get in the kitchen and create some delicious healthy food for my family for the week ahead. Now I am watching the tennis and relaxing knowing the morning will not be anywhere near as hectic, as the lunchbox is already packed and ready to roll! This week I have made mang...o coconut puddings, beef and veggie meatballs, crispy zucchini circles, macadamia ginger cookies and have a chicken broth on the go for further creations later in the week I actually wrote down what I did this time and will post recipes on my @alchemy_health_and_wellbeing Facebook page this week I must say I missed my foodie partner in crime @simple_holistic_health but we have already organised sharesies By the way, Pyrex containers + a chalk pen are the way to go for easy to find in the fridge food storage #healthy #delicious #nutritious #alchemy #health #wellbeing #jerf #naturopath #realfood #eatarainboweveryday #foodismedicine #yummy See more

20.01.2022 Apparently sometimes even the best laid plans go awry I am posting this for those of you who look at the weekly lunchbox prep posts and think, I wish my kid would eat that! Welllllll this week, the meatballs and the mango coconut mousse came home with the lunchbox much to my frustration! Sooooo meatballs are now being heated up for breakfast with some leftover roast veggies and a little avocado. The mango mousse is now in my lunchbox and this morning I made some rice paper rolls using the leftover roast chook from last night, plus some roast purple sweet potato and fruit. Next Sunday we will just have to try again #kidslunchboxes #alchemy #naturopath #healthykids #health #wellbeing

18.01.2022 One of the best ways too boost your beneficial gut bacteria is to eat a vast array of vegetables with their multitudes of varied prebiotic fibres. With this in mind I made a conscious choice to buy vegetables I dont usually buy when shopping for my weekly produce at the local farmers markets. This week I added in about 6 new vegetables including turnip, parsnip and swede.... What on earth do I do with turnip, swede and parsnip? Soup? Nope...... parsnip fries? I decided to c...ut them all into skinny fries, toss them in some oil and herb salt and roasted them in a hot oven. They were totally delicious and also devoured by my 7 year old. I had to put these aside so her Dad could try some too! Even my dog was giving them the eye Looks like they will be a regular from now on and boost my veggie variety What obscure veggies can I try next week and how should I cook them???? Food styling is obviously not my forte sorry Apparently neither is cutting my chips evenly I would not survive long on Masterchef! See more
