20.01.2022 It is with some sadness that we hear of the passing of Maurie Lenoir. Maurie was a passionate contributor to hockey in Alice Springs and Hockey NT.. A fierce competitor on the field and a great mate off it, there was no doubt that he would tell it like it is..... Maurie's contributions have played an important role in Alice Springs having a superb playing field for hockey players past, present and in to the future.. Most recently, project managing the turf replacement of our Traeger Ave complex. Maurie worked over many years to lift the participation and inclusion of Alice Springs in the NT hockey community, no doubt instrumental in some of the great hockey talent that Alice Springs has produced. Maurie's contribution in making the Alice Springs Masters Games a great event is also appreciated by Games Manager, Jim Lawrie; "Never one to back down from sheer hard work or to face adversity, Maurie was always there to back the event, myself and our team and was integral in having some of the best Opening and Closing Ceremonies we have seen." A genuine hard worker, who got the job done, and will be dearly missed. RIP Maurie..

19.01.2022 GRAND FINAL HOCKEY This weekend we celebrate our 2020 Alice Springs Hockey Season.. Congratulations to our Grand Finalists..... Men 14.30 - Kiwi Warriors Vs Centrals Women 16.30 - Desert Sharks Vs Pioneers Come down and watch some quality hockey as the seasons top teams go head to head.. Canteen and bar will be open.. Any Alice Springs Hockey Association non-members attending who wish to purchase alcohol will need to be signed in by a member. We will have a wristband identification system to assist the canteen volunteers. Men... 14.30 - Desert Sharks Vs Centrals Women 16.30 - Pioneers Vs Centrals Its going to be 2 great games of hockey, so come down to catch the action and cheer on your team.. The men's match will be hotly contested with the reigning Premiers Centrals taking on a red hot Sharks team.. In the women's match it's the power house Pioneer's up against an up and coming Centrals team.. You don't want to miss this weekend's hockey!!

Desert Sharks 4-2 GF Best on Ground - Jane Silverton It was another great celebration of hockey in Alice Springs..
