Surely there is nothing better than a weekend of Fun and Frivolity in Bridport, with fine seafood and beer, mead and wine. With FREE family fun on the Foreshore on Saturday from 5pm, near the bonfire, with Willie the Flamin Piano entertaining you while watching the OG Rollerbladers from Melbourne. 25.01.2022 Scallops are back !! The factory shop will be open Thursday & Friday this week. The scallops are survey (pre-season), so supply is limited until the main season is open. Get in quick so you don’t miss out !!

25.01.2022 The fishermen have been working extra hard over Christmas to bring us in a load of beautiful fresh scallops. The shop is open for purchases direct from the factory. Weather permitting we will be processing every day into the early new year, until the season closes for another six months. Don’t miss out!!

21.01.2022 Ok ... so we're listening and we're hearing and we're doing and we're acting on what we're hearing. So yes there will be a Tassie Scallop Fiesta at Bridport in... 2019! -- Sunday 4 August to be precise. You should elect to be there. We'll be organising a similar sort of program for the day -- racing splitters, judging pies and eclectic entertainment and attractions. But with a lot more room to mingle and to choose from a wider array of food and beverage venues, just as you told us and we heard. We would also like to build on the success of the fringe events in the lead up to the Sunday Fiesta, making more use of the bigger marquee on the Bridport Village Green and including another free, family frivolity on the foreshore. We're still listening for suggestions as to what that might include. But etch the date into your calendar ... Tassie Scallop Fiesta on Sunday 4 August 2019. See you there! 21.01.2022 OK so it's take two of the great splitters' challenge. The weather robbed us off in-shell scallops for racing at the Fiesta, but knives are being sharpened for ...a competition on Sunday 13 September 2020. It's to be held on the street verge in front of the Bridport Hotel around 3 pm, so you're welcome to get along to cheer on contestants to find the fastest and cleanest splitter of Tassie scallops anywhere. 01.01.2022 Remember the rivalry and home crowd barracking in the finals of last year's Tassie Scallop Splitters' Challenge? Well the perpetual shield has gone up acknowled...ging Yoyo Tang as "top knife" and Paula and Anita Barry and Karen Hayes as the quickest team. The shield, actually a slab of stringy bark burl prepared by Scottsdale Men's Shed, has pride of place at the Superfresh Seafood factory in Bridport, which provided the champion individual and team, despite close competition from Stanley splitters. Come along on 4 August to see whose names are added this year. See more
