24.01.2022 On the 17/12/18 changes occurred to the Construction Industry Payments Act: To summaries: Your invoice does not have to state it is a claim under the act anymore it is a valid claim as long as you list the description and the amount; If due dates are not set in your contract then it defaults to the 10 business days in the act;... If your customer is not going to pay in full by the due date a payment schedule must be provided by the customer as per your contract time frame or if no time frame is within the contract 15 days, you you do not agree with the payment schedule you may proceed straight to adjudication. Note these requirements work for all payments in the construction industry which include subcontractor invoices to builders.
