02.01.2022 "Surrender." For the nights have begun to elude me. It no longer brings rest. Solitude is no longer sought. ... For the nights install a sense of numbness, Lulling me into a false sense of security as it robs me of my senses. Leaving my mind, tethered in wars, That i didn't ask to join. Disoriented, as I remember the night it left me to drown in a pool of my own blood. As I remember standing above this painting. Wavering, as I could feel the weight, of all those, who have ever reached out, with their sadistic sense of curiosities to touch my Skin. I felt the weight of their hands, Bruising, Burning Bleeding. My skin, my flesh, Failing beneath the heat of their touch. I remember feeling as though the blood that coursed through my very veins, had betrayed me, As it began to boil beneath, simply from the heat of their desires. The air in the room became coarse & I remember struggling to breathe. As I looked down to my hands, bloodied with paint, I remember clinging tightly to my version of a loaded gun. A box of matches & lighters fluid. I was ready you see, to set my love that you see here, Alight & fall behind in its flames. But my hands, wouldn't settle. I couldn't strike the match. So I fell, My body, surrendered to the night. (A piece I've spent just over 6 or so months on & I'm finally finished!)
