23.01.2022 This big piece will be going out to one of my lovely customers soon and boy did I want to leave it hanging on our wall This one measures 1 metre in length and is the same colour scheme as the hanging shelf I made for our bedroom! By far one of of my favourite pieces yet! I can customise colours, size and design so don’t hesitate to message me for some info if you’re interested in a piece for your own home. Stay warm and enjoy your weekend folks

23.01.2022 My macrame plant hangers will be heading down to the upcoming @makersmarkethamilton. Lots of different colours, sizes & styles to choose from #supportsmallbusiness #shopsmall

23.01.2022 As many of you may have noticed I’ve been extremely quiet on my socials lately. This has not been intentional, but I am just dealing with some personal things at the moment so have decided to officially take a break from my side hustle for a while. I will not be taking any new orders until further notice, however, any current orders will be finished ASAP and I apologise for the delay. ... Thank you all for your support & understanding! Can’t wait to be back in the near future, refreshed and refocused Happy Monday folks

19.01.2022 This nursery piece will be making its way to one of my loyal customers next week along with some other goodies. I just adore this little one

18.01.2022 Throw Accurate representation of how I feel trying to get half decent photos for my socials Happy Cup day folks no bets for me today, just lots of knots!

17.01.2022 Heya! I’m not going to ramble on too much but you have probably noticed I’ve been super quiet on my socials over the past few weeks. This is because I do have work/ career/ study commitments and have recently started working a second job in which I am very excited about. As much as I love my little side hustle, they have been my top priorities lately. Aside from current orders, which are mostly awaiting supplies to be finished off, I haven’t had a chance to create any new st...ock. I will continue to chip away making in my own time and please don’t hesitate to contact me if you are looking at ordering something! Keep your eyes peeled for a new macrame shelf I’ve been chipping away at that will hopefully be up for grabs tomorrow Happy Saturday folks!

17.01.2022 Thought I’d give the big man a go at advertising some of our dog leads... he had other plans

17.01.2022 Got this big beauty finished last night! Measures a whopping 1.4 metres & it’s safe to say photos don’t do it any justice. A few finishing touches tonight before hitting the post office! I couldn’t resist snapping a cheeky photo or two before she heads off to her new home

16.01.2022 Appreciation post Matt and I have been busy doing some up cycling this weekend! I now have some pretty neat market diplays, not that there are any markets in the foreseeable future but it pays to be ready right? Can’t thank my man enough for the help he lends me, god only knows what he is thinking when I share most of my whacky ideas with him I now have a mini ladder stand, a beautiful big pallet wall and a little table for all my extras. Best part is, I already ...had almost everything we needed at home so the only thing invested was a length of wood for the wall stands and our time and effort (maybe Matts sanity too). Of course I had to have a quick play to test the durability. I am in Looooove Happy Sunday arvo lovelies See more

15.01.2022 Mustard / Natural macrame hanging shelf **SOLD** With the added detail of beads and the combination of beautiful neutral colours this hanging shelf could be the perfect addition to anybody’s home/ work space. ... $125 (If postage is required there will be an additional shipping cost of $20) Quick, somebody buy it before I clear a space on my own wall

14.01.2022 Ahhhh Friday arvo.. nice of you to finally show your face My market prep is officially in full swing, kicked it off with this little natural/ amber wall hanging. Just want to reassure my customers that currently have an order with me that I have not forgotten about you and the long wait is due to me waiting on a certain colour or size to come back into stock! Sorry about the delay, hopefully not too much longer

13.01.2022 A set of macrame rainbows that made it across the border for my beautiful little niece’s 1st birthday that I’ll miss this year

13.01.2022 If you don’t back yourself no one else will. My biggest supporter and I repping some new lids thanks to @longyardleather

12.01.2022 Sunday knots vibe There will be very limited red gum shelves available at this years makers market due to low stock of wood unfortunately. - A couple of half moon shelves hung this morning & ready to go

12.01.2022 UP FOR GRABS I think a little part of me died inside when I made the decision today to sell my beloved redgum shelf .. but here’s the deal! I’m going to give our bedroom a well overdue makeover including a new bed so this little cherub will no longer match. From the moment I finished making her she has been hanging on our wall and hasn’t been touched so is in excellent condition. With the combination of natural, khaki, mustard and rust macrame along with the beautiful r...ich red gum this piece is absolutely stunning and is sure to stand out in your home. I’m asking $165 (excluding postage if required) Comment or message me if you’re interested Ps. Please be mindful this shelf is quite heavy so does need to be hung correctly on the wall

09.01.2022 Tuesday vibes #thehumminggypsy

09.01.2022 Lockdown 2.0 Quick check in with my Humming Gypsy Fam! I Hope everyone’s keeping safe and well at home. My thoughts go out to anyone directly affected by the virus itself or who have family/ friends affected. Although it’s not easily done, I do hope we can all find some positives in these trying times. I’m not going to ramble on but let’s try to look for the positives that can come out of the situation we find ourselves in, even if there is few and far between.... One positive for me is lunch breaks spent at home mean I can dedicate a little extra time to my side hustle! Can’t wait to polish off my last few orders and move onto some new products for you all. Would love to hear some of your positives if you’re up to sharing Let’s keep our heads high, we got this!

09.01.2022 Beachy vibes for this glorious Friday ~ $65 ~

07.01.2022 HEY LOVELIES Warning- long post It’s no secret the virus is making life very hard for a lot of people.. and makers are no exception. I have been really struggling to get my hands on my normal supplies as everything is selling out EXTREMELY fast!! Aus post is also very slow at the moment which is making it very difficult to get my orders made and posted in a timely manner.... In saying all this I have decided to put a halt on all orders (exluding current ones) until further notice. I have also been accepted to attend the Hamilton Makers market in November in which I will need all the time I can get to prepare, get supplies ordered/ delivered and products made. I will be one busy little bee over the next couple of months This year has definitely been a challenging one to say the least and this is not a decision I have made lightly nor is it ideal but with things the way they are I do believe it’s best. Thanks for your understanding and ongoing support and I have no doubt The Humming Gypsy will be back soon better than ever.

05.01.2022 Introducing new range So I’ve been thinking lately about ways I can reduce my waste & use more of my offcuts because I am seriously swimming in them In saying this, I have decided to bring in a new range of products that will fall under the name Eco. Everything in my Eco range will be made using my offcuts. Although all my materials are brand new when I purchase them, I do accumulate a lot of waste when making some of my bigger pieces. So using material... that I would have otherwise thrown out, I am so excited to be bringing to life some new pieces Just doing my little bit for the environment & creating some funky products while I’m at it!

05.01.2022 Little study/ makers break project. Anyone who knows me well will know I prefer to make something myself or upcycle a second hand item rather than buy a new one and this $15 fold up table was no exception. Not only is it fun being creative and getting my hands a little dirty but it’s also crazy how many goodies you can find while thrift shopping, sometimes even some vintage treasures! Plus who doesn’t like to save a buck or two where they can. Went for a bit of a rustic look on the legs of this little cherub! Sanded back, painted, varnished and voila.. This one will tag along to some markets when they eventually start up again and boy will this girl be ready for it

04.01.2022 Sneak peek of a product I’ve been playing around with. Made using offcuts only

01.01.2022 Let’s talk indoor plants In particular plants that help purify the air. Some plants help filter harmful toxins out of the air in our home by absorbing these toxins through their leaves and roots. So not only do they look pretty positioned everywhere around the house (in my case anyway) but they also have health benefits! It’s a win win really. So the next time your partner tells you to put the plant back on the shelf... politely tell them where to go If you are after a... new addition here’s a list of a few low maintenance air purifying plants to add to your collection: * Peace lily * English Ivy * Snake plant * Spider plant * Bamboo palm * Boston fern * Dracaena * Golden Potho * Ficus/ weeping fig * Chinese evergreen Pictured is my little spider plant in a new double macrame hanger in our bedroom
