22.01.2022 ** MEATSTOCK UPDATE ** When we postponed Meatstock Melbourne earlier this year we picked a date that seemed like an eternity away. We have been waiting and watc...hing, hoping that restrictions would be lifted that would allow us to continue. Months of planning go into our events, but as the days tick on, and with so much uncertainty, were at the point we need to postpone again. We are heartbroken to be put in this situation but we do hope you understand that its out of our control. A new date has been set for the 13-14th March 2021 - Melbourne Showgrounds. The good news is that your tickets are still valid for this new date. Well be sending you new tickets closer to the event. You dont need to do anything, this will happen automatically. We appreciate all your support during this difficult time. On behalf of all our food vendors, hard-working crew and the barbecue community we cant wait to welcome you back to Meatstock. If you have any questions or issues, were here to help at [email protected] Stay safe, be kind and stay positive. Well see you soon!

18.01.2022 I, Frank McKey, the President wish to inform the community that the 2020 Casino Beef Week held in May is postponed to later in the year. This is due to the Pub...lic Health Order (Covid-19 Public Events) in place till 14 June 2020, provided by Brad Hazzard MP, Minister for Health. The Casino Beef Week Committee is saddened to make this decision, and we will work towards delivering our icon festival, possibly in early September which is dependent on the Australian Government advice. 14.01.2022 What do Victoria’s new COVID regulations mean for meat processing? Victorian meat processors were today reorganising to meet and clarify new Stage Four COVID...-19 lockdown restrictions that will mean cuts to their workforces by a third of daily peak production capacity levels. There is also still some confusion in the sector as to what the term ‘peak production capacity’ means for processors, including those who have managed to avoid any major COVID-19 outbreak disruptions. Government advisories yesterday variously said that the new workplace changes for meatworks coming in after midnight Friday would mean a 33 percent reduction in throughout capacity to manage safety of employees and a 33pc reduction compared to peak capacity. 02.01.2022 THE NORTHERN ICMJ CONFERENCE HAS BEEN POSTPONED. ICMJ Northern Conference Committee has made the decision to postpone the Northern ICMJ Conference, which was sc...heduled for 15-18 April 2020. This is due to the public health risks and travel restrictions caused by COVID-19 (Coronavirus). This is obviously disappointing, however with up to 100 people expected to be in close contact at the event and visiting numerous work sites in the Rockhampton region, the committee has decided the community's health and safety must take precedence. A number of universities, large organisations and conference speakers, which were expected to attend, have also initiated restrictions on non-essential travel. The Northern Conference will be postponed until such time that the risks to public health have been minimised. We will aim to keep communication open as we make plans to re-convene the conference hopefully later this year. See more
