16.01.2022 This is not an "ex football player dying with his children" or "a father struggling with separation" - this is a man with a dangerous sense of possession and en...titlement over his wife and children. This is a man with a level of hatred and disrespect for their mother so great that he would make this choice - the most horrifying and despicable of choices. Collectively, as effective bystanders, we need to choose to act, to hold people accountable in every space, and send messages that disrespectful attitudes towards and control over women will not be tolerated. Hannah Baxter, you and your three beautiful children deserved better. You are our WHY. This devastating loss of life is 100% preventable - and its going to take us all to commit to being and doing better. - - - If you or someone you know is experiencing sexual abuse or family violence contact 1800 RESPECT on 1800 737 732 Don't go it alone. 12.01.2022 This is Hilda, a cartoon created by artist Duane Bryers in the 50’s and recently unearthed. I don’t know about you but I look at these drawings and feel like Hilda is the happy, contented woman inside of all of us...just glorious. www.ladiespassiton.com

07.01.2022 Hi all, I'm Dr Bec Bennett. As a clinical audiologist with 12 years’ clinical experience, I was inspired to embark upon a research career to better tackle the r...eal-world problems reported by the people with hearing conditions I worked with each day. My research now focuses on the psychosocial and psychological needs of adults with hearing conditions. One of the things I have found, is that while clinical guidelines state that audiologists should address the psychosocial impacts of hearing conditions, psychosocial support is rarely provided. In one of our studies, we found that almost half of participant audiologists reported actions that only addressed audiological symptoms. In another study, we found that two thirds of audiologists felt underconfident and lacking the skills to provide emotional support. There is a potential for audiologists to play an important role in the early detection of mental health concerns in people with hearing conditions, to provide resources for support services, and to work with medical and mental health practitioners to improve early intervention. In fact, audiologists can better support people with hearing conditions in several ways: https://soundfair.org.au/how-can-audiologists-best-support/
