24.01.2022 Did you know a platypuses bill gives them a "sixth sense"? . Their bill has thousands of cells that give it a sort of sixth sense, allowing them to detect the electric fields generated by all living things. . It’s so sensitive that the platypus can hunt with its eyes, ears, and nose all closed, relying entirely on the bill’s electrolocation.... . How amazing!!! . When the IUCN reassessed the platypus in 2016, the group estimated that populations have dropped by about 30 percent on average overall since Europeans arrivedenough to elevate the animal’s status to near threatened. . Our newest partnership aims to raise awareness for the environment as well as fund projects to help animals in need, such as the Platypus . Link in the bio for more info! See more
