17.01.2022 Apex Realty has been able to successfully re-negotiate the lease of The Blow Dry Room salon on more favourable terms for the owner. As a consequence the owner has decided to keep the business and withdrawn it from sale. The owner was very satisfied with the work we did for them.

10.01.2022 Foolproof ways [Five-5] to prepare your Hair Salon For Sale Thinking of selling? How do you prepare? What do you do next? 5-Five things to get started.... 1. Financial Records How long have you been in the business? You will need the last two(2) years Profit & Loss Statements. They reflect the performance of your salon and a convincing story can be told about your salon that will appeal to the right buyer. 2. Shop Lease A buyer will want to know (a) when will the lease expire? (b) are there any options to renew? (c) when does the rent increase and by how much? (d) are there outgoings on top of the rent? Find your lease and keep it handy. 3. Plant & Equipment What are you selling with the business? Make a complete list of all the P&E the business owns that will be included in the sale. Show brand names and serial numbers of major equipment items. It reassures the buyer you are a genuine seller. 4. Salon Staff Who are the people working for you? List all staff, include: (a) length of service (b) their job classification (c) current award rate of pay (d) days they work (e) hours worked each day The buyer may not want to take over all the staff and this step will let you know in advance how to handle the situation. 5. Advertising your Salon For Sale How will you attract the attention of buyers? Which website are best to advertise on? What will your advertising budget be? Nothing worthwhile is free and you don't want to spend money on something that does not work. APEX REALTY specialises in selling hair and beauty salons. In fact we have sold hundreds of businesses and achieved good results for owners. If you wish to discuss any of these points or other issues of concern, give us a call. It's free and no obligation. 01.01.2022 Is your Salon - a Business or a Job? I don't have a boss, I make all the decisions. It must be a business. I recruit and train staff, pay all the bills, etc.. I'm working hard and putting in lots of hours producing a large proportion of the salon income. That sounds to me very much like a job!... In a properly run and managed salon, you don't have to work on the floor and you will still make money. In a properly run salon you will have two main areas of responsibility: 1. Recruit, train and retain good workers while exiting the non-performers as soon as practical. 2. Marketing the benefits of visiting your salon (a) to retain your existing clientele and keep them coming back. (b) acquire new clients to replace those that move on, and also build the size of your database. These two responsibilities don't require you to be at the salon all the time. Marketing is a twelve months activity and something should be planned for each month of the year. Good marketing will attract clients that keep your staff busy. busy staff are generally happy staff. Becoming a good marketer will ensure the success of your salon and everybody makes money. Would you like to know more about how to recruit staff and/or become a good marketer of your salon?
