24.01.2022 At this uncertain time we feel that it is more important than ever to recognise and acknowledge Australia's volunteers. To those who volunteer in the Moreton Bay Region, thank you, thank you, thank you! We appreciate each and every one of you. Our community would not be the same without your ongoing time and care. ... Tag a volunteer in the comments to say thank you for their support!

24.01.2022 Will you be watching? Our SES group will be at training!

22.01.2022 No storms around, but our members are busy training every Tuesday night. Tonight we've split into two groups - one is learning about radio communications and the other group is refreshing their first aid skills. #AlwaysLearning #AlwaysReady #BePrepared #Volunteers

22.01.2022 Reminder, our next Public Information night is tomorrow Wed 15th January at 1900 Please bring photo ID

18.01.2022 Some upcoming planned burns at North Pine Dam, so it might look a little smokey around Moreton Bay this week.

17.01.2022 Knock, knock! Who's there? The SES! Well, it might be us on the 15th of September, as part of a state-wide campaign.... We'll be knocking on some doors of homes at risk from flooding, to hand out some free advice & say Hi. This is not a fund raising effort, so don't be scared to have a chat and help us build resilient communities together. And we promise we'll keep the bad jokes to ourselves. Maybe.

16.01.2022 Know anyone on the Sunshine Coast who would look good in orange?

12.01.2022 Know someone who's into fire trucks, police cars and all things emergency services? Come along to Redcliffe tomorrow!

11.01.2022 Queenslanders are susceptible to a wide range of natural disasters. We can face catastrophic bushfires one month and unprecedented flooding the next. Since 201...1, Queensland has been hit by more than 80 significant natural disasters resulting in devastating loss of life and leaving a recovery and reconstruction bill of more than $16.1 billion. Some natural disasters such as cyclones, floods and fire are largely determined by your location. Other hazards such as pandemic and heatwave can happen to anyone at any time. The first step to Get Ready is to find out which disasters you are most likely to be impacted by, when they are most likely to occur and the likely risks to you, your family, your business, your travel plans, your home and other assets. Once you have this information, you can take action to Get Ready in advance and manage your risk.

11.01.2022 In 1989, PRSC opened the previous SES base. Moving 30 years ahead, MBRC will open the brand new purpose built facility across the road. Family, friends and the general public are welcome to visit and tour the new Bunya facility from 1200 hours Saturday 03rd August

10.01.2022 Yesterday we were grateful to receive a donation of gloves from Bunnings Keperra - no, not one pair, but three boxes! Our new trainees could really use them, and the other good news is that we'll be able to share this with Brisbane City SES Thank you Annie and Bunnings Keperra

08.01.2022 Not long now until we can move into our new premises. Keep an eye out for our Official Opening Day event in early August

03.01.2022 With the dawn of a new day, Arana Hills SES enters a new era, as we are now fully operational at our brand new facility. 03.01.2022 The Arana Hills SES Team are looking forward to assisting at the Dayboro Day Festival on 26th May. Keep an eye out for our members in their orange uniforms as we safely direct the traffic around the various road closures. If you want to avoid the parking hassles you can park at the showgrounds with a FREE shuttle bus into the Festival.

01.01.2022 Bitter sweet, after 40 years service, the old Arana Hills SES base is in process of being removed

01.01.2022 Just a regular Tuesday night in the life of an SES volunteer. Here are some of our Arana Hills members last night, listening to important notices before we packed away the chairs & got stuck into equipment maintenance & training. Can you help your community? Come to our information night to learn more about what's required (details in photo). P.S. We're getting a brand new training facility too!
