16.01.2022 This is lovely to watch. I wanted to share.

16.01.2022 A few days ago we extracted some honey using a wax press. This honey came from frames which had been slimed by wax moth so it isn't safe to eat. However, if anyone wants to use this honey on their garden as a fertiliser or to strike plant cuttings. You can buy it at a discount for $5 a kilo if you bring your own container or $6.50 if you buy it in our jars.

06.01.2022 We are pretty sure this is the solitary Teddy Bear Bee (Amegilla Bombiformis). An Australian native bee. They are ground nesters and favour dry soil areas. This bee was found in Kirwan.

03.01.2022 The phenomenon called "Bearding". This is when the hive experiences extreme heat and humidity. The bees gather on the outside of the hive to regulate the honey temperature inside the hive. The bees at the entrance are actually pushing air into the hive. Video to follow.
