25.01.2022 Unfortunately the National Rally planned for May this year in Renmark has been cancelled as a result of concerns about Covid 19. This will be the first time since the initial rally in 1968 that we have not had our annual get together. However the good news is that we have been able to reschedule to April 30th to May 4th 2021 in Renmark. So mark the Riverland Rally in your diary.

22.01.2022 The Historic Car Gathering hosted by the VSCC was a great success once again today. The weather was perfect, the location in the Parklands was fantastic and the relaxed nature of the day made it an enjoyable day out for anyone with an interest in Veteran, Vintage and Classic motoring. There was an amazing array of vehicles from all eras. Our marque was represented by a 1950, 18hp Whitley, a 1934 12hp and the lovely 14hp which is back on the road just in time for the event. A certain very pretty Sunbeam Alpine owned by our Secretary can be see lurking in the background.

18.01.2022 Andrew Christophersen and Barbara Pennington enjoyed a Siddeley day today having taken the Mk1 for a drive to Kapunda, a country town north of Adelaide SA. The car performed faultlessly. The photo shows the car next to MAP the Miner, a statue erected to celebrate Kapunda’s rich mining history.

06.01.2022 I have had a request from someone who is looking for information about a Typhoon with a Reg no. JLT 250. Any help would be gratefully received. Have no other info however.

05.01.2022 We celebrated an important milestone today. 50 years ago to the day the inaugural outing was held to re-establish an ASCC branch in South Australia - a drive to the Birdwood Motor Museum. We reenacted this outing with 7 Armstrong Siddeleys participating and 23 members and friends in attendance. One member who attended was present at the first outing and we believe one of the cars present today was also present in 1970. Unlike the original event the weather was perfect and the cars, although 50 years older, still looked splendid.
