25.01.2022 Southern Cross Certain (known to us as Princess) enjoying a relaxing afternoon with lots of luscious feed around the house paddock with all her friends at Ascot Lowline Stud.

25.01.2022 Our friendly new bull has finally arrived at his new home with us. He didnt like the road trip from Allora (Qld) to Breelong(NSW). Our stud Lowline cows seem happy to see a bull back at Ascot. Everyone is happy to visit him whenever hes being fed hay. Not sure that they like him or the hay more lol

24.01.2022 Ascot Lowline stud cattle - dispersal sale on 19th & 20th January. Over 70 head of excellence stud Lowline cattle must be sold. Picture shows cow and calf at Ascot Lowline Stud in Breelong NSW. Its almost 2 years since this lovely green grass flourished. After recent rains and continued hand feeding with top quality hay the stud cattle remain in excellent condition now.

23.01.2022 Our lovely Lowline stud bull Kougari Knuckle Duster has found a fabulous new home. He has moved to Weetaliba and is happily living at a stud called Gamaly now. His new owners are so excited that hes joining them and their herd of Lowline stud cows.

22.01.2022 Who cares about Christmas when the package arrives from The Cattle Shop and the toy I’ve been waiting for arrives. So happy to be tattooing my Ascot Lowline stud cattle before I sell them all. Looking forward to seeing my wonderful brother tomorrow who’s going to be helping me.

22.01.2022 Kougari Lee Enfeld enjoying his evening amongst the saffron thistles.

21.01.2022 Dakabin George is looking fabulous. Such a good natured bull. I guess that comes from being treated like a baby early on - which is what happens when you go to a Royal Show with your Mum as a calf lol.

21.01.2022 First time Ive seen Emus on my place. I wonder if the terrible dry winter has pushed them to look for food in places they dont normally transverse. How many can you see?

21.01.2022 This is Ascot Prisma. She is a 5 months old heifer who hasnt had a DNA test yet. She is a 2018 calf for Mighty Jess. And the Sire is most likely to be Dakabin George. She has a typical Lowline heifer nature. She is quiet, wary, but the way she interacts with other heifers suggests she is a sweetheart. I hope you like her

21.01.2022 The drought doesnt end easily. Even if Ascot has had more than 60mm in the last month, the paddock which is behind my old piggery still looks terrible. Luckily hand feeding my Lowline cattle is keeping them looking okay.

20.01.2022 Young bull relaxing in the lovely Spring sunshine at Ascot. George has a habit of arriving and giving them all a push and shove to reinforce his place as the big boss

20.01.2022 Dakabin George enjoying a very dry Autumn at Ascot Lowline Stud. The frosts have killed off all the green summer grasses. Its a very typical dry end to a western NSW Autumn. We need some rain to at least give the clover a kick along.

20.01.2022 Even young stud Lowline bulls love having a good push and shove with each other

19.01.2022 Sometimes the saddest things happen. But not always in the end. This newborn calf was found with pink eye in the south front paddock, and when I went to check him he began crashing repeatedly into the fence. Poor calf was blind. He was caught and transported up to the house paddock. No sign of his mum and nothing to indicate what happened to his mum for two days. He was fed and ointment smeared into his eyes. Then this morning a young cow - a first time mum - was up eating hay. She was moved around into the house paddock to check her response to this blind calf. Happy was everyone involved when we all discovered that this was the blind calfs mum. What a fabulous Christmas present for everyone

19.01.2022 Bulls will be bulls. Always time to see whos boss.

18.01.2022 Lowline stud cows dont mind what their calves do (being such a placid breed), and its not unusual for the cows to continue eating as their calf suckles. In some situations its bad news for the calf if the cow decides to defecate.

17.01.2022 Yenkcah Cassie enjoying a gorgeous Autumn day at Ascot Lowline Stud. She is looking in fabulous condition and happy that the clover has started to emerge.

17.01.2022 When its over 42oC there is only one place to relax and thats in the shade. Two young stud Lowline bulls chilling out at Ascot while others brave the heat to snack on some grass around the house yard.

14.01.2022 Finally after almost five months of drought a small gift. Not enough to stop hand feeding but hopefully enough to support the native grass thatre holding the soil together. Moisture means the top soil will not end up blowing away to NZ. We need lots more gentle rain to promote spring feed for the cattle. Weather forecast says well need to wait until the end of October to get any decent rain. Very frustrating

13.01.2022 The drought doesn’t end easily. Even if Ascot has had more than 60mm in the last month, the paddock which is behind my old piggery still looks terrible. Luckily hand feeding my Lowline cattle is keeping them looking okay.

11.01.2022 Four yearling Lowline Stud Bulls enjoying lunch of barley and Oaten hay at Ascot in Breelong

11.01.2022 After a bit of aggressive argument these Stud Lowline cows (almost all have calves) settle down to tuck into the lovely barley hay

09.01.2022 Young Stud Lowline Bulls stare longingly at the cows on the other side of their fence. Most of these bulls are about 18 months old (however there is a 6 month old bull who makes a cameo).

09.01.2022 Merry Christmas from all the gorgeous girls at Ascot Lowline stud. We hope you enjoyed your feasting day as much as we did. Did anyone say hay ... wheres my hay .... we want more hay (now!!!!).

08.01.2022 The drought conditions continue and without hand feeding hay these gorgeous stud Lowline cattle would be looking very poor. Instead they continue to look in good condition.

08.01.2022 With hand feeding Lowline cattle do really well even in drought. And with a little rain some like Finkie look pretty good. Thats why Lowline cattle are so great!!

08.01.2022 Who cares about Christmas when the package arrives from The Cattle Shop and the toy Ive been waiting for arrives. So happy to be tattooing my Ascot Lowline stud cattle before I sell them all. Looking forward to seeing my wonderful brother tomorrow whos going to be helping me.

08.01.2022 Wow 30mm of rain overnight. Thats the most rain weve had in a day on any day in 2017. Now weve had almost 60mm this month. October is now Georges favourite month. And so hes coming up for a scratch to celebrate

07.01.2022 Kougari Lee Enfield enjoying his afternoon - after having a feed of hay he’s contemplating whether he’ll get more or should he pursue a cow which is cycling.

07.01.2022 While everything else is struggling to survive in the drought, the native grass that has survived the drought on Ascot has starting sending up new grass blades. Its true the Lowline dont like to eat it, but when its the only choice they certainly eat it without any worry.

05.01.2022 This is Ascot Prisma. She is a 5 months old heifer who hasn’t had a DNA test yet. She is a 2018 calf for Mighty Jess. And the Sire is most likely to be Dakabin George. She has a typical Lowline heifer nature. She is quiet, wary, but the way she interacts with other heifers suggests she is a sweetheart. I hope you like her

05.01.2022 The young Lowline Stud Bulls checking out the Lowline Stud Cows on the other side of the fence. Thankfully all the paddocks have some summer feed because weve had recent rain after a very dry winter.

05.01.2022 Ascot Lowline stud young bulls enjoying some evening oaten hay. What wonderfully placid cattle to work with. Although not shown its funny to see a bull spooked by a lamb

05.01.2022 Bulls will be bulls. Always time to see who’s boss.

04.01.2022 Six months old bull calf of Trungley Hazel (7 year old stud Lowline cow) is ready to wean; and that will happen next week. His mother has produced two wonderful off spring (both a bull and a cow) and this third calf is already looking fabulous as a potential future stud bull.

04.01.2022 The big drought continues so took a trip to Wagga to buy hay. When I returned I found the fourth calf born this year. It never stops lol

04.01.2022 This weekend was so busy. With the forecast showing little rain (if any) for this month, I spent the weekend buying, transporting, and stacking, hay. Yes folks I brought about 4 tonnes of hay. Half were large round bales and half were small bales. The small bales are 2016 oaten hay which doesnt have much seed in it but this big juicy leafy hay means the Lowline cattle just go crazy for it.

04.01.2022 All the young bulls enjoying the lovely spring sunshine. George had a habit of doing push and shove whenever the inclination hits him to show them all hes the big boss

03.01.2022 Kougari Lee Enfield enjoying his afternoon - after having a feed of hay hes contemplating whether hell get more or should he pursue a cow which is cycling.

01.01.2022 This is Southern Cross Certain which is one of the stud Lowline cows which is for sale. Good natured and inquisitive, she is a great cow who produces an outstanding calf each year.
