21.01.2022 Scott Morrison has announced that he will cut JobSeeker payments for 1.5 million Australians a week after Christmas. This heartless cut will push people below the poverty line. It's cruel. This decision will hurt people and damage the economy further.... We need to permanently and adequately increase JobSeeker, Youth Allowance and other income support payments. You can help by calling the Prime Minister's office on 02 6277 7700 and asking him to #RaiseTheRate for good.

13.01.2022 81% of ASU members told us that they'd like to continue working from home after the pandemic. We think flexibility for workers, as requested by workers is a gre...at idea. But it cannot cost workers extra. Because during COVID-19 too many workers shouldered additional expenses, increased workload, increased hours and mismanaged mental health. This is why the union movement is fighting for working from home conditions that ensure workers are protected no matter where they work.

10.01.2022 Qantas passengers, you’re on your own! The airline is planning on cutting service desks, airport sales and baggage services across Australian airports and lounges. The Australian Services Union's assistant national secretary Emeline Gaske said about 100 workers would be sacked as a result. She predicted "chaos" during severe weather events or other major disruptions, and said the removal of customer service staff would be particularly hard for older passengers and people with disabilities. 05.01.2022 A big win in the Federal Court today! Australian Services Union assistant secretary Linda White, has urged Qantas to accept the decision. Qantas have a legal and moral responsibility to pay workers their penalties, but it used tricky legal manoeuvres to dodge that responsibility."
