23.01.2022 Australasian Gaming Expo a finalist in 2019 Awards for Excellence The Gaming Technologies Association (GTA) is delighted that the 2019 Australasian Gaming Expo (AGE) is a finalist in the Exhibition and Event Association of Australasias (EEAA) 2019 Awards for Excellence. The EEAA is the peak industry Association representing Organisers, Venues and Suppliers within the exhibition and event sectors, and the Awards celebrate those doing outstanding work in this area.... Nominated in the Best Association Event category, the AGE is one of 2 finalists in this category. The chair of the judging panel, Australian events industry leader John Trevillian AM, said that the judges had gone through a rigorous process in order to determine the finalists. Each category was separately assessed by three independent judges, and it has been an extremely competitive process. The high standard of entries and the submission requirements such as auditing, research and references, enabled the panel to validate the merit of the finalists, said Mr Trevillian. Chief Executive Officer of the GTA, Chris Muir said being recognised as a finalist in the Awards was a tribute to all involved in Australasian Gaming Expo. Mr Muir said As our 30th show, 2019 was already a year of celebration for the AGE. So many people work so hard to get the AGE to such a high standard, and being a finalist in EEAA awards is a recognition of all their hard work and talent. AGE is the must-attend event for suppliers and buyers in the hotel, club and casino industry. It is the place to see both domestic and international products and services, network, attend thought-provoking seminars, and develop new business partners. The finalists will join the EEAA community for the awards celebration at the Myer Mural Hall in Melbourne on 4 December. Next years AGE will be held at ICC Sydney from 11 to 13 August 2020.

23.01.2022 As part of this year's Australasian Gaming Seminars, the Gaming Technologies Association (GTA), organiser of the Australasian Gaming Expo (AGE), has launched the '2020 Australasian Gaming Survey - COVID-19 Response'. The survey was created by Asia Gaming Brief, who have co-organised the Australasian Gaming Expo Seminars since 2018, and is powered by Forecast. https://austgamingexpo.com/australasian-gaming-survey/

22.01.2022 31st Australasian Gaming Expo will now take place in 2021 In publishing its new Public Health Order on 14 May, the NSW Government extended the restrictions on large gatherings from 29 June to 14 August. The legally restricted period now extends past the planned dates for the 31st Australasian Gaming Expo (AGE). The government did announce a three-stage easing roadmap, but even when fully implemented that roadmap does not allow for more than 100 people to attend a venue such... as ICC Sydney, said Chris Muir, CEO of the Gaming Technologies Association (GTA). The new Order has left AGE organisers with no option but to defer the 31st AGE as it was impossible to hold it as previously scheduled. "And, we have not forgotten the risk that Covid-19 still poses for everyone at this time", Muir continued. The 31st AGE will now run from 10 to 12 August 2021. Earlier dates were considered but were subject to unacceptable risk of disruption or conflicted with other industry events and activities. Exhibitors are disappointed with the postponement. Despite the circumstances, many were still enthusiastic about showcasing their new products, services and innovations. Indeed, many have turned their focus to products and services that will assist venues to operate a Covid-19 safe venue and workplace. "We've already seen some significant initiatives from AGE exhibitors as they support businesses with technology and physical distancing measures," said Muir, "and we'll continue to connect buyers with sellers, as our industry slowly starts its road-to-recovery." Visit the official website at www.austgamingexpo.com for more information and AGE updates.
