25.01.2022 Finally!!! Finished our new Barra and Bass hatchery. Cost a heap! would just like to say a Big thank you to all the stocking groups and loyal customers we have. Without your support we couldn't do all this to supply more native fish for the fishermen/women.

25.01.2022 Managed to get a lucky early spawn of Australian Bass. Really good numbers and quality. Might have Bass ready early this year if all goes well.



25.01.2022 As promised a week late. The last of the stocking group fingerlings for the season. 67 K yellowbelly for Cania dam. 10k of yellas and Silver's each for Victoria and 7 K for the Stanley river at Woodford. Hopefully more next season

24.01.2022 Instead of working all the time I decided to have a day off! Took my beautiful wife over to Moreton island for the night, dropped the crab pots in on the way. Bagged on Snapper and 15 Sandies. Not bad



24.01.2022 Just released 26000 Dawson river yellow belly at Calide dam at Biloela. Great turnout. Good to catch up with our mate Daryl. On to Moura and then Baralaba.

24.01.2022 Doing samples on our latest batch of Murray Darling yellowbelly. Looks pretty good plenty there and not a bad size for 2 weeks old. And a nice calm morning at the fish ponds.

24.01.2022 Salt water hatchery is coming along. We have deliveries to Tara and Pine Rivers this weekend around 100k yellowbelly fingerlings getting released on Saturday. I will post a video this afternoon when they get a salt bath.

21.01.2022 As usual were having trouble finding quality breeders. Most if not all the Dawson river is in flood. Trying our luck at Mt Morgan near Rocky. Talk about travel.

21.01.2022 Wow!! Its a long way to Hughenden! Made it there around 2.30 pm yesterday. The release Wes at 4pm and the town showed up in force. 15000 Sooty Grunter 15000 sleepy cod and 5000 redclaw were released. Big thankyou to Deputy Mayor Sean ONeill for organising the whole show. I know for sure the kids loved it, and its always great to see future fisher men/women in the making.

18.01.2022 Just finished our second run of Australian Bass for the season. they are breeding awesome this year! We calculated around 1.5 million in this tank and we had 2 tanks of them. Huge numbers and the new hatchery works awesome.

17.01.2022 As a last ditch we finally found a spot where the Dawson river wasn't flowing too hard. Put in the nets and all we caught was catfish. I'm Out!!! Nice spot but no fish to spawn and no time left. Going home

16.01.2022 Been up at our saltwater farm harvesting Australian Bass ready for the freshwater ponds. Really good batch and great numbers. It got a bit cold last night so I have included a pic of our fire.

16.01.2022 Harvesting yellow belly this morning for the Boondooma fishing comp release tomorrow. We stacked away 30k on their request a month ago. What awesome fingerlings!!!

15.01.2022 Finished the fish run for today at Baralaba. The river is running here as well. Not a big turnout from the town, but got to meet some local champions. Robbie and Sharon from the service station and local fish releasing team. Also got to meet long time locals Beryl and Sir Jim, who observed, and had some really great history about the area. Total released 40000 yellow belly.

15.01.2022 On our way home. Left Hughenden before the sun this morning headed into the sun. Awesome sunrise. Just turned at Townsville and on our way home. Will hopefully get to Gladstone tonight.

14.01.2022 How awesome is it that rain shows up and everyone's spirit lifts. Just stocked Moura weir which is running over with 20 000 yellow belly fingerlings. Awesome salt of the earth people and some great artwork on the toilets,. It's days like this I know why I love my job.

11.01.2022 Couldn't give up. Decided to go looking for new territory. Choppy got overexcited and spoon fed us into this. Serious water!!! On the upside the water wasn't flowing and the ground was hard. We also made Matty walk through first. No fish! Bit nerve-racking towing a boat and 2 tonnes of water. That's his last adventure for a while.

10.01.2022 Delivering fish to Hughenden, made it to Emerald last night. Stayed at the star hotel. Nice feed. Nervous night with 40 000 fish on board. Changed water at a nice water source next to the highway last night and again this morning. Pictures from this morning. Awesome sunrise.

10.01.2022 Awesome Dawson yellow belly caught while broodstock fishing. These pair went around 4kg and were too big for us to breed. They are still out there waiting to be caught.
