18.01.2022 At Christmas just past I received an expensive major brand name pair of shoes as a present. After wearing the shoes less than 4 days the toe leather fell apart! They were purchased from a large retailer probably over $100. (Don't really know because they were a gift and one does not ask the price of a gift!)... If you were born in the 60's or 70's I bet you can remember when:- Shoes cost around $10.00 and lasted at least a year! Shoe laces cost about 10c and you would replace them many times over the life of your shoes. Now days the shoes wear out before the laces! So when did shoe lace manufacturers improve their product or when did shoemaker's start making crap shoes? It's not the Shoemakers fault it is our own fault !!! Quality dropped around the same time we let large Retail chains open their stores in the heart of our communities. They promised lower prices we loved it! -Now we could buy shoes for $5:00 BUT WAIT ! Our country lost it's manufacturing base to overseas companies. Our parents and their friends lost their job's. Reduced family income and spending power meant they had to shop at the big chain stores for cheaper prices. If you were lucky cheaper quality shoes lasted 3 months instead of years so we had to buy three times as many shoes effectively paying $15 for shoes over any given year. Think we were duped folks! PLEASE SHARE IF YOU REMEMBER WHEN YOU HAD A "FAVORITE" PAIR OF SHOES!!! THESE DAYS THEY DON'T LAST LONG ENOUGH TO BECOME "FAVORITES"

07.01.2022 Walking to get lunch today I spotted this small but healthy Tomato plant growing under a bus stop seat in the middle of the city. I thought to myself what are the chances of a single tomato seed (probably dropped from a sandwich) falling between the holes in the bus stop seat. Landing in the small gap between the pathment tiles. Taking root and growing without being trodden on squashed and obliterated! Literally thousands of people would have walked past, sat above placed th...eir bags next too this little plant. Yet against all the odds it has survived and is in better health than a lot of garden grown plants! If this little plant could talk what advice on life, do you think it would say? "make the most of what you have got!" "Never give up!" "Only worry about today cause tomorrow you might not be here!" Anyone else? See more

02.01.2022 Not sure if B Debt Free can help you? Below are some examples of financial situations that we have been able to help people with. Debt Agreements:-... Client ‘A’ had debts of $75000 and wanted to protect her home, which she was unable to re-finance due to little equity and insufficient provable income. A Debt Agreement offering $52000 was proposed and accepted by Creditor’s. The family budget allowed for payments of $200 per week to be paid to the Debt Agreement and she was able to separately afford her existing mortgage payments. The end result is she has one payment to pay off all unsecured debts at an affordable rate and protected her home. Bankruptcy:- Client ‘B’ was renting and on Centrelink payments and after going through a budget it was decided he could not afford a Debt Agreement. Client agreed that filing for Bankruptcy was the best option to enable him to move forward with his life. Informal arrangement:- Client’s ‘C’ refinanced their existing property and were able to offer their unsecured creditors a reduced lump sum in full and final payment of their debts. An offer was accepted by each creditor and payments completed with minimal affect on "C's" credit ratings and reduced their family budget to an affordable amount again.
