18.01.2022 At a recent wedding ceremony the groomsmen and the bridegroom all wore open neck shirts and Akubra hats - thought I better add, chinos too - great idea in summer, beats a three piece suit when its around 35 degrees. They looked smart and cool.

18.01.2022 Many thanks to Emmanuelle for her lovely review. Yes, I did learn some French for their wedding ceremony. When they told me their parents were coming from France for their wedding and that they did not speak or understand English I thought about how I would feel attending my childrens wedding and not understanding a word of it. So, I asked Emmanuelle to translate some things I had written from English to French which she did and she also recorded it on my phone for me to get the pronunciation correct. (If no one could understand what I was saying it would all have been a waste of time.) I spent time reading and practicing until I got it right. the reward was, the look on their parents faces and the "Merci Merci" they came up and said to me at the end of the ceremony.
