24.01.2022 Pool Controls is proud to be supporting Isla's Superstars who are taking part in the Leaping Livers Lapping the Lagoon fun run to raise money for the liver transplant clinic at Westmead Children's Hospital. Isla is the daughter of Damien Cahill, NSW Service Manager for Pool Controls. Isla was diagnosed last year with a life-long liver condition and whilst she doesn't require a transplant, apparently Westmead has become a "second home". 20.01.2022 As we come into the hotter part of the year it is important to keep your pool water balanced in order for your XLS chlorinator to perform at its best. Pool Controls recommend the following: Cyanuric Acid (Stabiliser) should be kept @ 50ppm... Salt Level between 1000ppm and 2000ppm Phosphates should be 0 (treat if any level recorded) Always run the chlorinator when the pool is in use, and run timers throughout the day to help reduce chlorine loss due to UV degradation. 13.01.2022 Re: Important Clarification to Fluidras announcement about XLS Minerals by Pool Controls Thank you to our many customers who contacted us seeking clarification of an email Fluidra sent out yesterday making an important announcement about XLS Minerals. Pool Controls confirms that it has reached a mutual settlement with Fluidra, in which Pool Controls released Fluidra from any claim relating to the validity of a patent originally obtained by Ross Palmer and now held by Fluid...ra concerning a range of mineral salt blends. In turn, Fluidra released Pool Controls from its claim that our XLS Minerals product had infringed the patent Both Pool Controls and Fluidra agreed in the interests of cost and convenience not to pursue their respective claims. Pool Controls also confirms we have agreed to cease manufacture of the current mineral salt blend known as XLS Minerals and it will no longer be available after 20 August 2020. Pool Controls wishes to clarify that Fluidras announcement relates only to the current XLS Minerals blend of mineral salt and not to any other products sold or manufactured by Pool Controls. The terms of deed of settlement signed by Fluidra and Pool Controls do not extend to independent third parties such as customers of Pool Controls. Retailers stocking and selling the current XLS Minerals from Pool Controls are under no obligation in relation to Fluidras announcement. Dear Michael and the Team at Pool Controls, Just wanted to pass our thanks and gratitude for your recommendation of the OZONE XLM for our small inground fibreglass spa and plunge pool. Our original Ozone system had ceased working some time ago which meant we were adding and spending more on granular chlorine and pool chemicals to keep the wate...r safe. We also have children who suffer from eczema and psoriasis, and standard granular chlorine would irritate their skin. After spending many hours researching the many sanitisation systems on the market today, we were led to the OZONE XLM which met all of our needs. Having had a number of conversations with Michael we knew this was the right system for us with many great features which included ozone and low level mineral saltwater chlorination, pool cover on function and pH control to maintain the water balance. I am really pleased to say that this system has exceeded all our expectations and our pool water is absolutely crystal clear, in fact we have seen the water consistently look this clear and the children have all been able to return to swimming again. 01.01.2022 The green pool has phosphates in it! If your pool has gone green, chances are it has phosphates in it too - and this is encouraging algae to grow. The second photo is how the pool looks once phosphates have been removed. The water is now so clear the owner can see just how much this old painted concrete pool needs a re-surface!
